Welcome back to Last Word on Football’s Football Transfer News<\/a>. Today’s edition looks at the latest transfer rumours from around Europe, including, Ben Godfrey. The Norwich City<\/a> defender is reportedly a multi-million-pound target for Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>. Plus, can West Ham United<\/a> beat Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> in the race to sign Franck Kessie?<\/p>\n

Today’s edition also looks at the top clubs interested in signing a young German star striker. Also, it appears that Real Madrid<\/a> boss Zinedine Zidane<\/a> is still keen on signing Paul Pogba<\/a> from Manchester United.<\/a><\/p>\n

Transfer Rumours: Franck Kessie, Ben Godfrey Paul Pogba and Karim Adeyemi<\/h2>\n

Spurs Chase Norwich Defender<\/h3>\n

Football Insider<\/a> are reporting that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho<\/a> has set his sights on a new defender. The report suggests that the defender in question is Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey. The 21-year-old centre-back is an England<\/a> U21 international and joined the Canaries from York City in 2016.<\/p>\n

Norwich are believed to value the youngster at \u00a320-25 million. Godfrey broke into the City team last December, helping the club to promotion. So far this season he has made 14 Premier League appearances. Spurs are hopeful a deal can be done in January despite the player signing a new five-year contract in the summer. A bid of \u00a325 million could be enough to tempt Norwich to sell.<\/p>\n

AC Miland Midfielder Wanted by West Ham and Wolves<\/h3>\n

A report on Milan Live<\/a> suggests that AC Milan<\/a> are set to offload midfielder Franck Kessie in January. The 22-year-old is being targeted by West Ham and Wolves; however, the report indicates that it is the Hammers that are leading the chase. The Ivory Coast international has fallen behind several others for a place in the Milan team and appears surplus to requirements.<\/p>\n

Any deal completed is expected to cost the buying club around \u20ac30 million. Kessie was close to joining Wolves during the summer only for the deal to fall through. West Ham are now favourites; however, Wolves are still keen and may not give up without a fight.<\/p>\n

Zidane Still Keen on Pogba<\/h3>\n

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane is still determined to sign fellow Frenchman Paul Pogba from Manchester United. Zidane has made no secret of his desire to bring Pogba to Madrid. Pogba himself is also reportedly keen on the move to happen. However, Marca.com<\/a> state that directors at the Bernabeu\u00a0are not convinced he is the right man to sign.<\/p>\n

A deal between United and Madrid could prove problematic. Zidane and Pogba want the move to happen, Madrid are not convinced and United want as much as they can get for the midfielder. Pogba has been injured for much of the season and Madrid believe he is not worth the money that United would want and the wages that the player would demand. This could be one of the long-rumbling transfer rumours of the window.<\/p>\n

The Chase is on for Young German Star<\/h3>\n

Alex Smith of the Mirror is reporting that Liverpool<\/a> and Arsenal<\/a> have joined the race to sign wonderkid Karim Adeyemi. Barcelona<\/a> and Borussia Dortmund<\/a> are also believed to be interested in the 17-year-old. The RB Salzburg youngster is currently on loan at Liefering in the Austrian Bundesliga 2.<\/p>\n

Adeyemi was a \u00a32.8 million signing from\u00a0SpVgg Unterhaching in 2018. It is understood that Salzburg have already rejected a \u00a315 million bid. Adeyemi has scored eight goals in 13 appearances while on loan. For Salzburg he has impressed in the UEFA Youth League, scoring three goals.<\/p>\n
