Atletico Plot Move For Timo Werner<\/h3>\n

According to COPE<\/a>, Atletico Madrid’s priority is to freshen up their forward line. With the ageing Diego Costa<\/a> underperforming, they are eyeing Timo Werner as a replacement. The RB Leipzig forward has been in good form thus far, scoring 13 in 13 appearances this season. The quoted price in reports suggests the deal could cost $60million for the Los Rojiblancos<\/i> to complete the deal, as a result, it could be tricky to complete.<\/p>\n

Should the deal be too pricey, Atletico have other targets. PSG’s veteran Edinson Cavani<\/a>, AC Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek<\/a>, and Torino’s Andrea Belotti<\/a> are all being courted as back-up options. AS are reporting that all these other options would suffice for Diego Simeone<\/a>. The Uruguayan Cavani maybe 32 but did notch 18 in 21 league appearances last term.<\/p>\n

Manchester City Battle Barcelona for Martinez<\/h3>\n

City are eager to freshen up their squad as they are currently sitting eight points behind leaders Liverpool. One name being mentioned is Inter Milan’s 22-year-old striker Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinian has been in scintillating form for Antonio Conte<\/a>‘s side this season, scoring eight in 14 in Serie A. Sky Sports Italia<\/a> claim that Pep Guardiola<\/a> sees Martinez as the long term heir to his national counterpart, Sergio Aguero<\/a>, but the Citizens face tough competition from Barcelona to land his signature.<\/p>\n

Rhian Brewster Available for Loan<\/h3>\n

The latest coming out of Liverpool is that Liverpool are willing to loan out young starlet Rhian Brewster, according to Football Insider<\/a>. The only condition for a move is that the Reds want assurances over the 19-year-olds playing time. Reports suggest that Aston Villa, Leeds and Crystal Palace are viable options. The highly-rated Englishman is yet to make a first-team appearance this season but his boss has big plans for his future.<\/p>\n

Klopp has said of Brewster, “I love the boy, he is a fantastic player. He is a top talent and I have told him already that he has an important role this year \u2013 but how important depends on him.\u201d With first-team chances limited given the team’s success, a loan move seems the best option for Brewster.<\/p>\n

The Englishman Faal is only playing in the seventh tier but is gaining recognition for his 18 goals and nine assists in just 19 appearances. This form is earning him links to Jamie Vardy<\/a>‘s rise to the Premier League. He is the second cousin of Liverpool and England star Joe Gomez. A continuation of his exciting form could see him line up against his relative in the Premier League soon.<\/p>\n
