The FA Cup draw for the third round of the competition has seen the introduction of the Premier League and Championship teams to compete alongside those from the League One, League Two and non-league that have made it this far. This includes current holders Manchester City<\/a>, who demolished Watford<\/a> in last season’s final<\/a>, and European champions Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Liverpool v Everton<\/h4>\n

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will play three Merseyside derbies this season having been drawn at home to Everton<\/a>. It’s a repeat of the third-round tie from 2017\/18 in which Virgil van Dijk scored his first goal for the Reds late on to beat their bitter rivals.<\/p>\n

For Everton, it’s a chance to cause a shock in a game that would not be surprising to see Klopp take lightly. Liverpool have a hectic schedule coming up and fatigue levels are likely to be high by the time this fixture comes around.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United v AFC Fylde<\/h4>\n

Sheffield United<\/a> were embarrassed in the FA Cup last season when they were knocked out by National League side Barnet, but they will face opposition from that level again as they host AFC Fylde.<\/p>\n

Jim Bentley’s side have gone about a big improvement since the former Morecambe boss’ arrival. They will be confident they can cause a shock, especially with the Blades having already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Sunderland this season.<\/p>\n

Arsenal v Leeds United<\/h3>\n

Although managerless at the moment, Arsenal<\/a> will likely have someone in place by the time this game occurs. However, they will still be settling into their role at the Emirates, and as such, Leeds United should travel to North London hopeful of securing a win.<\/p>\n

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are currently top of the Championship and are playing some scintillating football. They and their fans should be expecting to give the Gunners a tight game.<\/p>\n
