They are now looking for a new manager after the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino, who has left after more than five-and-a-half-years at the club.

The Argentinian has departed Tottenham after a string of poor results. They currently lie in 14th place in the Premier League, with just three wins from 12 games. His final game with the club was a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.

Jose Mourinho The Most Likely To Replace Mauricio Pochettino At Tottenham

Jose Mourinho is one of the most prestigious names now circulating the rumour mill for the Spurs job. According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Chelsea manager would be open to discussions.

The Portuguese manager has had a successful career so far as a manager. As a result, he would certainly improve Tottenham’s current form.

The 56-year-old has been without a job since leaving Manchester United in December 2018. However, he was successful with the club, winning three trophies at Old Trafford. It continued his record of winning a trophy with every club that he has managed.

However, a sticking point for Mourinho could be that he used to manage Tottenham’s rivals Chelsea. It is arguably his most famous – and successful – stint as a manager. He won eight trophies across two spells at Stamford Bridge, including back-to-back Premier League titles during his first stint.

Another issue that may hamper Mourinho’s chance at Tottenham is that he is not a long-term option. The 56-year-old has never lasted more than three seasons at any club he has been at. As a result, Tottenham may not view that as a positive choice.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jose Mourinho is being considered by Tottenham as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

[30,2,3,24
291,138,124,40,96,136
post-536918","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","category-featured","category-premier-league","category-tottenham","tag-daniel-levy","tag-jose-mourinho","tag-mauricio-pochetino","tag-premier-league","tag-tottenham-hotspur","tag-world-football
["GET
