Oxford United<\/a> have kept intact their impressive unbeaten run with another comfortable 3-0 win at the Kassam Stadium, this time against Doncaster Rovers.<\/a> It’s the third successive three-goal victory at home, extending their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions thanks to another brace from James Henry<\/a> and seventh of the season for Cameron Brannagan.<\/a><\/p>\n

Oxford United Impressive Again Against Doncaster Rovers<\/h2>\n

Unbeaten Run Extended<\/h3>\n

This run of results for Oxford is certainly promotion form. Henry has notched eight goals now, Brannagan seven, and Tariqe Fosu<\/a> has also added five.<\/p>\n

The U’s midfield is a critical part of Karl Robinson’s side, providing opportunities for the forwards in addition to keeping the back four comfortable.<\/p>\n

Yesterday was no different. With Alex Rodriguez Gorrin<\/a> sitting in a deeper midfield role, the back four have the additional protection, which is highlighted by four clean sheets from five games.<\/p>\n

It also allows the likes of Brannagan, Henry and Fosu to express themselves in an attacking sense. Henry, bursting forward from a central position, netted the opener in first-half stoppage time with a 25-yard deflected effort.<\/p>\n

It was similar for Brannagan, who came onto the edge of the box before striking home the U’s second. The third came from the spot, and Henry successfully converted his fourth penalty of the season.<\/p>\n

Best Midfield in League One?<\/h3>\n

Of the 34 goals in all competitions, 25 have come from midfield alone. Without a doubt,\u00a0 this midfield has certainly become an integral part<\/a> of Oxford’s recent impressive run.<\/p>\n

And yesterday, the U’s were without Ben Woodburn<\/a> and Anthony Forde<\/a> through injury, in addition to another four already sidelined.<\/p>\n

It’s showing a real depth at the squad in key areas and that has helped and will continue to help, as the U’s look to continue in all formats of the game.<\/p>\n
