Oxford United<\/a> have kept up their unbeaten run but ended up sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Accrington Stanley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Karl Robinson’s<\/a> side twice took the lead, but the U’s conceded for the first time in five consecutive matches in both league and cup as Stanley took a point.<\/p>\n

Oxford United Remain Unbeaten but Drop Points on the Road<\/h2>\n

It was a game that you could have expected Oxford to win. The U’s headed into the game in explosive form – three league wins, one league draw, one Carabao Cup win over Premier League opposition, 15 goals scored and none conceded.<\/p>\n

And Accrington have made a slow start to the season, too. That said, Oxford had lost their last three meetings with John Coleman’s side, and on reflection after the game, both sides would have been happy with a point.<\/p>\n

Tariqe Fosu<\/a> and Cameron Brannagan<\/a> both netted their sixth goals of impressive individual campaigns but were pegged back twice through Jordan Clark and Offrande Zanzala to earn a deserved point for the hosts.<\/p>\n

Both sides could have won, too. Accrington hit the woodwork twice and kept U’s goalkeeper, Simon Eastwood, busy. Oxford created chances too but wasn’t as clinical as they had been in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Oxford Still in Fine Form<\/h3>\n

The U’s will take confidence, not only from this result, but their recent unbeaten run as a whole.<\/p>\n

They’ve had some impressive performances, incredible score lines and solid defensive performances.<\/p>\n

Coleman even claimed that Oxford were one of the best sides his team have faced this season, and Stanley have come up against four of the current top six.<\/p>\n

Next weekend, Robinson and his side will welcome Doncaster Rovers but will be without Ben Woodburn through injury and Shandon Baptiste, who has been called up for international duty.<\/p>\n
