Even though the summer transfer window is now a distant memory, the rumour mill is still rife with gossip ahead of January. Today, we’ll go through a few of the latest transfer rumours, and potential ins and outs in the winter window. Manchester United<\/a> eye talents from Juventus<\/a> and Barcelona<\/a>, while Manchester City<\/a> aim to boost their homegrown numbers. Newcastle United<\/a> could look to improve their creativity. All this and more transfer rumours on the way.<\/p>\n

Transfer Rumours: Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle and More<\/h2>\n

Manchester United Target Big-Name Duo<\/h3>\n

According to Miguel Delaney of The Independent<\/a>, Manchester United will look for more attacking options in January. United want to secure the services of either Mario Mandzukic of Juventus or Ousmane Dembele<\/a> of Barcelona in the new year. After United sold Romelu Lukaku<\/a> in the summer, they are yet to replace his goals, and are keen for more offensive options. With Anthony Martial<\/a> and Marcus Rashford<\/a> having suffered injuries, the front-line is a clear priority.<\/p>\n

City Hoping to Add More Homegrown Players<\/h3>\n

As Michael Gannon of The Daily Record<\/a> writes, Manchester City are keen to sign 17-year-old Aaron Hickey of Hearts. City are in the market for more homegrown talent, as they are low in numbers on that front. The young full-back wrote himself into Hearts folklore scoring a screamer against Hibernian at the weekend. If he continues to improve on the big stage in Scotland, then Pep Guardiola may have to make a move for him.<\/p>\n

Newcastle Look to Former City Winger<\/h3>\n

In other news, a former City player may be on his way back to England. Ernesto Basurto of El Gol Digital<\/a> reports that Newcastle United may make a move for Sevilla winger Rony Lopes, who used to play for Manchester City. Newcastle are lacking creativity in the final third, with Miguel Almiron<\/a> reportedly set to be dropped against Leicester City<\/a> this weekend. With the Portuguese winger seemingly not in Julien Lopetegui’s plans, he may be set for a return to English football.<\/p>\n

Zaha to Persist in Palace Exit<\/h3>\n

According to Apollo Heyes of Calciomercato<\/a>, Ivorian winger Wilfried Zaha<\/a> still wants to leave Crystal Palace<\/a>. The London club’s star winger will push again for a move this January. Despite coming close to a move this summer, with Arsenal<\/a> and Everton<\/a> interested, an exit never materialised. It seems more a question of when than if Zaha will leave Selhurst Park. Whether or not that departure comes this January or in the summer remains unclear.<\/p>\n
