Oxford United<\/a> will be looking to secure back-to-back league wins for the first time this season when they travel to Bolton Wanderers<\/a> in tomorrow’s League One encounter.<\/p>\n

The U’s eased past Tranmere Rovers<\/a> last time out, while Bolton, who are yet to win this season, suffered a heavy defeat at Rotherham United.<\/p>\n

U’s Look to Condemn Bolton to More Misery<\/h3>\n

Oxford should be full of confidence following their recent win and, although they headed into the Tranmere<\/a> game on a poor run which included four defeats in five, Karl Robinson’s side were playing some decent football.<\/p>\n

That said, the U’s failure to convert opportunities was a problem, as was the defensive issue<\/a> with Robinson’s side having the third-worst defence in League One prior to the Tranmere victory.<\/p>\n

This is a game in which the U’s would be expected to secure another three points, with this new look Trotters side still in need of some time to gel following the arrival of ten new faces.<\/p>\n

Oxford’s attack is deadly, and they’ll be up against a Bolton defence that is shipping goals at an alarming pace.<\/p>\n

Previous Moments<\/h3>\n

One of the new faces at Bolton is former Oxford skipper Jake Wright<\/a>. Following Sheffield United’s<\/a> promotion to the Premier League, the 33-year-old defender has been loaned out and made his debut in the 6-1 defeat at Rotherham United.<\/p>\n

Wright made over 250 appearances for the U’s over an impressive six-year stay with the club. During that time, he helped the club achieve promotion from the Conference, also winning promotion to League One before he joined the Blades.<\/p>\n

The U’s and Bolton last met in the 2016\/17 season, with both sides winning away from home by two goals. Prior to that, you’d have to go back 20 years to 1999 when the sides met in the old English Division One.<\/p>\n

It could be Matty Taylor’s<\/a> first start since suffering an injury at Bristol Rovers<\/a>, but Tariqe Fosu<\/a> could drop to the bench due to fitness despite an impressive display last time out.<\/p>\n

We could also see a few players rested with a trip to Lincoln City and a Carabao Cup third-round tie with West Ham United<\/a> both coming up.<\/p>\n
