Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of returning from injury, and could be committing his future to Stamford Bridge. According to Oliver Harbord of Football.London<\/a>, the 18-year-old is close to agreeing a new contract with Chelsea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Callum Hudson-Odoi Nearing New Chelsea Contract<\/h2>\n

The Situation<\/h3>\n

Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the verge of returning to full fitness following rupturing his achilles in April. There are hopes that he will be back after the international break. As a result, Chelsea are keen to tie him down to a new deal.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old was highly sought after in January, with persistent interest from German champions Bayern Munich<\/a>. However, Chelsea battled of the interest and under a new regime where youth look to be given a chance, he looks set to stay.<\/p>\n

According to Oliver Harbord of Football.London, the new deal is a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’. The reporter said:” There doesn’t seem now at all that there is a fear he will be leaving the club, like there was back in January.<\/p>\n

“There is only just when the deal is going to be announced, which could coincide with his return to action.”<\/p>\n

How Important is the New Contract for Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea?<\/h3>\n

There are high expectations of Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea due to the promise that he has shown at Stamford Bridge. As a result, it is vitally important that they keep there best talents.<\/p>\n

Callum Hudson-Odoi could have a long future ahead of him at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard now possesses two wingers aged above 30-years-old – Willian<\/a> and Pedro<\/a>. Both will not have long left at Chelsea, and Lampard will be keen to promote from within.<\/p>\n

Changes at Stamford Bridge are certainly being put in place. Young players have a bright future at Stamford Bridge, and the first-in-line will be Hudson-Odoi.<\/p>\n
