Oxford United<\/a> face a tough trip to Fleetwood Town<\/a> tomorrow as the U’s look for their first-ever win against the Cod Army.<\/p>\n

The two sides have met ten times, with Fleetwood winning on eight occasions, but this fixture ended 2-2 last season with the U’s coming from two goals down thanks to second-half strikes from James Henry<\/a> and Jamie Mackie.<\/p>\n

U’s Look for First Win in Five<\/h3>\n

After three successive league defeats, Oxford ended that run last weekend after an enthralling 3-3 draw at home to Coventry City.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite progressing past Peterborough United<\/a> and Millwall<\/a> in the first and second rounds of the Carabao Cup, their bright start to the league season has taken a blow.<\/p>\n

The Cod Army, meanwhile, have won three of their opening six league games, but lost last time out at Lincoln City<\/a>, and bowed up of the Carabao Cup at the first round after the defeat at Nottingham Forest.<\/a><\/p>\n

Team News<\/h3>\n

Oxford are still without Matty Taylor<\/a> after picking up his injury at Bristol Rovers<\/a>, but both Cameron Brannagan<\/a>, who is the U’s top scorer with four goals, and Alex Rodriguez Gorrin<\/a> have returned. Shandon Baptiste and Rob Hall have both managed to get some minutes under their belts as both players edge closer to full fitness.<\/p>\n

But the U’s are without Ben Woodburn<\/a>, Mark Sykes<\/a> and Nico Jones, who are all away on international duty.<\/p>\n

Defensively<\/a> is where the U’s have come undone this season, and they’ll be looking for a first clean sheet since their Carabao Cup win over Peterborough.<\/p>\n

For Fleetwood, defender Harry Souttar<\/a> has impressed this season, playing every game, scoring once and adding an assist. Josh Morris<\/a> has two goals from seven appearances from midfield, while Paddy Madden<\/a> has already netted an impressive four goals. The U’s summer transfer target Ched Evans<\/a>, who rejoined Fleetwood<\/a>, has also found the net this season.<\/p>\n
