Welcome to the latest edition of Last Word On Football’s Premier League review series. More goals, more drama and more VAR controversy was on display in the latest round of Premier League games. Here is your Premier League review of Matchweek three.<\/p>\n
After a poor start to the season, many thought that it would be a routine victory for Manchester United<\/a> against Crystal Palace<\/a> at Old Trafford. However, it was anything but, as the Eagles came away with their first three points from Old Trafford since 1989.<\/p>\n Palace spent much of the game frustrating Manchester United, who attacked with no prevail. It was in fact the Eagles who took the lead, after Jeffrey Schlupp<\/a> beat Victor Lindelof<\/a> to a long ball from Vicente Guaita<\/a> to nod it on for Jordan Ayew<\/a>, who slotted past David de Gea<\/a> with ease. The Ghanian striker was one of four changes that Roy Hodgson made to his lineup from their defeat to Sheffield United<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Eagles rallied together and thought they had done enough to pinch a 1-0 victory. However, in the 89th minute, Daniel James<\/a> equalised with a curling right-foot effort into the top corner. It avenged Marcus Rashford<\/a>‘s penalty miss earlier in the game.<\/p>\n However, it was still not over. Palace broke for one last attack in the 93rd minute, and left-back Patrick van Aanholt<\/a> was found in the box. He fired a left-footed drive towards David de Gead, who could not keep it out of his net.<\/p>\n Following on from the end of last season, Watford<\/a> have now lost their last six Premier League games. Matchweek three saw them lose 3-1 to West Ham United<\/a>, who earned their first win of the season.<\/p>\n The game started at a blistering pace, and it was the visitors who took the lead inside three minutes. Mark Noble<\/a>‘s spot-kick sent Ben Foster<\/a> the wrong way and gave the Hammers the lead.<\/p>\n Watford did not have to wait long for their equaliser. Andre Gray<\/a> found himself in behind the West Ham defence and placed his strike into the far corner past Lukasz Fabianski<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, two goals in nine second-half minutes took the game away from the Hornets. Sebastien Haller<\/a> bagged his first goals for West Ham since his club-record transfer. His first was a simple tap-in from a low Felipe Anderson<\/a> cross, while his second came from an overhead kick just inside the six-yard box.<\/p>\n Each week we take a crack at predicting the results<\/a> of each match.
