Welcome to the latest EFL Championship review by Last Word On Football for the 2019\/20 season. The weekend saw four teams continue their unbeaten start to the season. However, Huddersfield Town<\/a> and Stoke City<\/a> are rooted to the bottom of the table after failing to win once again. Here is our review of Championship Matchweek four.<\/p>\n

EFL Championship Review: Matchweek 5<\/h2>\n

Leeds and Swansea Lead the way<\/h3>\n

Leeds United<\/a> kept their unbeaten start going on Saturday. A convincing performance at struggling Stoke City gave them the three points. Goals from Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Patrick Bamford sent away supporters home happy. The result piles the pressure on Stoke boss Nathan Jones. City are yet to win this season and remain on just one point.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Swansea City<\/a> kept their own impressive start going. A 3-0 victory at home to Birmingham City<\/a> put them joint top of the table along with Leeds. Three second half goals from Kyle Naughton, Bersant Celina and Borja Baston made it Swansea\u2019s best start to a campaign since the 1970\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Charlton and West Brom Remain Undefeated<\/h3>\n

Charlton Athletic<\/a> and West Bromwich Albion<\/a> also kept their unbeaten runs going. A first-half Conor Gallagher strike was enough to give the Addicks a 1-0 victory over Brentford at The Valley. Charlton now lie third in the table.<\/p>\n

West Brom remained unbeaten after a third draw of the season. A late penalty from Kenneth Zohore rescued a point for the Baggies at Derby County<\/a>. An early penalty for the Rams looked to be enough to give them victory. However, a controversial late penalty gave Albion a share of the points.<\/p>\n

Huddersfield Continue to Struggle<\/h3>\n

Huddersfield Town, like Stoke City continue to struggle. Town and City are joint bottom after five games with just one point apiece. Managerless Huddersfield lost two-nil at home to Reading. The result extends Town\u2019s winless run in all competitions to 16 games. Caretaker boss Mark Hudson blamed a lack of fitness for their current troubles.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the Championship<\/h3>\n

Newly promoted Luton Town<\/a> picked up their first win of the season. A 3-1 victory at Barnsley gave them the three points. Bristol City moved up to fourth with a 3-1 win away at Hull City. And, Preston North End moved into the top six with a 2-1 victory at home to Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n
