In-form Oxford United<\/a> have made a bright start to League One, picking up four points from their opening two games and progressing to the second round of the Carabao Cup<\/a>. Karl Robinson’s<\/a> side have come up against sides that will be pushing for promotion in Sunderland<\/a> and Peterborough United<\/a>, and a visit to Blackpool<\/a> this weekend will be no different.<\/p>\n

Oxford Face Another Tricky Away Day<\/h3>\n

The U’s could have faced a tricky start to the season with a trip to Sunderland<\/a> and home tie against Peterborough United<\/a> – two sides pushing for promotion this season – but Robinson’s side have picked up four points.<\/p>\n

Peterborough<\/a> were also the victims as the U’s progressed to the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, giving them an almost perfect start.<\/p>\n

Again, though, the U’s face tough opposition this Saturday as they head to Blackpool. The Seasiders have made an unbeaten start to League One, beating Bristol Rovers 2-0 on the opening day before overcoming Southend United 3-1 at Roots Hall the following week. However, they were dumped out of the cup on penalties against League Two Macclesfield Town.<\/p>\n

Oxford will fancy themselves at Bloomfield Road. Last season, Jordan Graham scored the winner as the U’s won 1-0, the pivotal result that turned the clubs fortune as they edged clear of the drop.<\/p>\n

Back to the First Choice Eleven?<\/h3>\n

Robinson made seven changes for their Carabao Cup tie but started with the same eleven in both league games. It’s likely the Oxford could stick with the same line-up after resting key players on Tuesday night. The only change Robinson could make is whether he chooses John Mousinho<\/a> or Elliott Moore<\/a> to partner Rob Dickie<\/a> in defence.<\/p>\n

Blackpool have plenty of options in attack that could test this new-look U’s defence. Armand Gnanduillet<\/a> and Nathan Delfouneso<\/a> have both scored two in three games, while Jay Spearing<\/a> is a crucial part of the Seasiders’ midfield.<\/p>\n
