In the FPL 2019\/20 preview: Manchester City,<\/a> let’s look at the fantasy assets of the reigning Champions. This article will focus primarily on the first six fixtures.<\/p>\n

Manchester City FPL Preview 2019\/20<\/h2>\n

Pep Guardiola\u2019s Manchester City side won three domestic trophies last season including the Premier League. They\u00a0became the first top-flight team in a decade to retain their title. City will try to make it a hattrick of premier league titles this season. As every FPL manager knows, predicting their lineups is always tricky. However, one definitely needs two or three Cityzens in their squad.<\/p>\n

First Six Fixtures<\/h3>\n

West Ham United<\/a> (A)\u00a0| Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> (H) | Bournemouth<\/a> (A) | Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> (H)| Norwich City<\/a> (A) | Watford<\/a> (H)<\/p>\n

The champions have a favourable start to the 2019\/20 season. There is definitely a strong possibility of them racking up a lot of FPL points in these six matches. Before their visit to Anfield in gameweek 12, Manchester City will not face any other top-six team apart from Tottenham in week two. So, owning the right City assets will likely be vital to a good start to the season for every FPL manager.<\/p>\n

Best Fantasy Assets<\/h3>\n

Raheem Sterling<\/a> (\u00a312.0) should be the first pick from Manchester City. He is a proper FPL superstar with\u00a0229 and 234 points respectively in the last two seasons. He has an awesome record<\/a> against the sides City are facing in the first six fixtures as well.\u00a0Sterling produced nine double-figure hauls last season, which included 16 points against West Ham United. He is possibly an essential pick this season. With the introduction of VAR, Sterling could win more penalties this season which will translate into more assists.<\/p>\n

Sergio Ag\u00fcero<\/a>\u00a0(\u00a312.0) scored over 200 points last season. He is definitely a pretty reliable FPL asset. He has the potential to have games where he scores three or even four goals. However,\u00a0Ag\u00fcero could be rotated from time to time with\u00a0Gabriel Jesus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kevin De Bruyne<\/a> (\u00a39.5) had an injury-affected season last time out. However, he is fit and raring to go this time. He is arguably City’s best player and if he can stay injury-free could have a massive season in FPL.<\/p>\n

Aymeric Laporte<\/a>\u00a0(\u00a36.5) had an amazing 2018-19 season. He was the highest-scoring defender from City. He should be considered as a possible nailed-on starter.<\/p>\n

Ederson<\/a>\u00a0(\u00a36.0) is often overlooked as FPL managers try to fit as many City attackers as possible. However, he was the second highest-scoring goalkeeper last season. The Brazillian could be your set-and-forget keeper.<\/p>\n

Differentials<\/h3>\n

Oleksandr Zinchenko<\/a>\u00a0(\u00a35.5) could very well start the season at Left Back for Pep Guardiola.\u00a0Benjamin Mendy is injured again so the Ukrainian could get an extended run in the squad. Zinchenko’s position was changed from midfielder to defender this season which means he will now get the points for clean sheets.<\/p>\n
