Whilst Aston Villa<\/a> have splashed nearly \u00a3100 million on new players to boost their chances in the coming Premier League season, Norwich City<\/a> are in a different world entirely. Having won the Championship last season with goals galore, at both ends, the club simply don\u2019t have the financial muscle of Villa.<\/p>\n

Norwich have brought in just five players in the summer transfer window<\/a> and all for a cost of less than \u00a31 million.<\/p>\n

“I’m pretty realistic,” Daniel Farke told Sky Sports News<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Of course we would like to add some quality because when you are able to spend money and add some quality, you have a bigger chance to stay in this league and be successful but we know we have to compete with our tools and that’s what we are trying to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Safety can be the only objective for Norwich City this season. With all due respect to the club, Aston Villa and Sheffield United<\/a> are better placed to manage more than one season at the top. A good cup run may help confidence and if the crowd truly do their part, maybe they can achieve the truly unexpected.<\/p>\n
