The side have faced a summer of turmoil, with financial problems crippling the club to the point where they could be expelled from the Football League in less than two weeks&#8217; time.<\/p>\n<h2>Bury v MK Dons In Doubt<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A statement regarding Bury FC. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EFL?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#EFL<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Pl3FVRhgek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/Pl3FVRhgek<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 EFL (@EFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EFL\/status\/1154858936367026176?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">July 26, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3>The EFL Statement<\/h3>\n<p>In a short statement posted on their social media channels, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EFL\/status\/1154858936367026176\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the EFL said<\/a>: &#8220;The EFL board met today in respect of the ongoing matters at Bury FC where it determined that if the league is not in receipt of the previously requested information by 12pm on Monday 29 July then the club&#8217;s opening day fixture will be suspended.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Both Bury and MK Dons have been informed of the league&#8217;s decision.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonfootball.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/07\/25\/bury-expulsion-english-football-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;previously requested information&#8221;<\/a> that the statement refers to is evidence that the club can repay the enormous levels of debt they are in.
