Top 10-8 Serie A Transfers<\/h3>\n

10. Riccardo Orsolini<\/a>, Juventus<\/a> to Bologna for\u00a0\u20ac13.5 million. The Italian winger was once considered one of the brightest young Italian talents. Although Orsolini has not lived up to his potential thus far, this is a great move for a mid-table team like Bologna. Last season Orsolini contributed to eight goals and five assists. He’s an electric dribbler with a knack for cutting in and having no fear in taking long shots. If Orsolini continues to develop then Bologna will definitely make a profit off a future sale.<\/p>\n

9. Luca Pellegrini<\/a>, Roma to Juventus for\u00a0\u20ac22 million. The young Italian left-back finds himself in a perfect situation to develop at Juventus. He showed flashes of brilliance while at Roma but, at this point, he may have been counted on to do too much with an aging Aleksander Kolarov<\/a>. Instead, he finds himself positioned behind an elite left-back in Alex Sandro<\/a>. Pellegrini just turned 20 a few months ago and has what it takes to become Italy’s featured left back of the future.<\/p>\n

8. Amadou Diawara<\/a>, Napoli to Roma for\u00a0\u20ac18.9 million. The Guinean international looked to be a future star just a couple years ago at Napoli. Former manager Maurizio Sarri stunted his growth with limited play time, and because of this he was not utilized often under Carlo Ancelotti last season. Although Roma has developed a reputation for selling their stars, this is because they have the ability to develop young players into studs. With the departure of Daniele De Rossi<\/a>, Diawara will find plenty of playing time at the Stadio Olimpico. This move has the potential to be one of the better Serie A transfers of this window.<\/p>\n

Top 7-5 Serie A Transfers<\/h3>\n

7. Nicolo Barella<\/a>, Cagliari to Inter Milan on loan with an obligation to buy. Barella has the tools to become an elite midfielder, but it’s still early. This move can become one of the better Serie A transfers, but for now there are question marks surrounding the deal that can potentially cost up to\u00a0\u20ac50 million. The 22-year-old has been a consistent Serie A starter for a couple of years now and is fantastic in regaining position and winning duels. Barella looks to be an ideal player in manager Antonio Conte’s system.<\/p>\n

6. Aaron Ramsey<\/a>, Arsenal<\/a> to Juventus for free. Securing Ramsey for free was a great move for Juventus. The only thing holding this deal back as one of the better Serie A transfers is Ramsey’s high wages. The 28-year-old Welsh international starred for Arsenal often, but it remains to be seen if he can start for a side with ambitions of Champions League glory. Juventus was held back last year due to the weakest midfield paired with Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a> in years, so Juventus is banking on Ramsey to change this.<\/p>\n

5. Theo Hernandez<\/a>, Real Madrid<\/a> to AC Milan<\/a> for\u00a0\u20ac18 million. The Spanish left-back will feature regularly and makes Ricardo Rodriguez<\/a> expendable. Rodriguez has been consistently average at Milan, and new manager Marco Giampaolo calls for high-motored left backs. For this reason, even if Rodriguez is not sold, Hernandez is likely to start. Although Hernandez hardly featured for\u00a0Los Blancos<\/em>, he had successful loan spells at Alav\u00e9s and Real Sociedad. An entire summer under Giampaolo should have Hernandez ready as one of the better left backs in Italy.<\/p>\n

Top 4-2 Serie A Transfers<\/h3>\n

4. Luis Muriel<\/a>, Sevilla to Atalanta for\u00a0\u20ac13 million. Acquiring a player like Muriel for a low price was a steal for a team like Atalanta. They are set to feature in their first Champions League ever next season and added a stellar piece to the most successful attack in the league last season. Muriel played for Fiorentina for half a season on loan last year and showed he can be successful in Italy. With players like Alejandro Gomez<\/a>, Josip Ilicic<\/a>, and fellow Colombian Duvan Zapata<\/a> on his side, Muriel is set up to succeed. This was one of the earlier moves in the window and it was already regarded as one of the best Serie A transfers.<\/p>\n

3. Kostas Manolas<\/a>, Roma to Napoli for\u00a0\u20ac32.4 million. The Greek centre back came at a hefty price for Napoli, but he will form one of the best defensive pairings in Italy alongside Kalidou Koulibaly<\/a>. Manolas is one of the toughest players in the league and is surprisingly swift. Although Koulibaly is elite, he and Manolas have similar qualities. Furthermore, Manolas has reached the Champions League semi-finals before. Paired with a manager with hefty ambitions like Ancelotti, Napoli are finally making the Serie A transfers necessary to succeed in both the league and Europe.<\/p>\n

2. Adrien Rabiot<\/a>, Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> to Juventus for free. This is another fantastic free transfer for Juventus. Rabiot has the potential to become a world-class talent and has already been playing at the highest level for years now. It’s surprising to realize that the Frenchman is still only 23-years-old. Rabiot’s best trait is his elite passing ability, which is a great addition to a midfield that heavily relies on Miralem Pjanic’s<\/a> creativity.<\/p>\n

  1. Diego Godin<\/a>, Atletic\u00f3 Madrid to Inter Milan for free. The Uruguayan is at the twilight of his career but remains one of the best centre backs in the world. Inter showed last season that they weren’t quite ready for their Champions League return, but Godin’s leadership changes everything. Furthermore, he creates one of the best back threes in the football alongside Milan Skriniar<\/a> and Stefan de Vrij<\/a>. Poaching Godin for free from a very successful club in Atletic\u00f3 was a complete steal for Inter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
