Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has labelled Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford<\/a> a ‘muppet’ after feigning injury to get Aston Villa’s\u00a0Anwar El Ghazi<\/a> sent off.\u00a0The Leeds striker was heavily involved in the controversies of his side’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Patrick Bamford<\/a> Called a ‘Muppet’ by United Boss<\/h1>\n

The former Derby County striker Bamford was instrumental in El Ghazi’s sending-off. Bamford crashed to the ground theatrically holding his face, although replays showed there had been no contact.<\/p>\n

That came in the heated aftermath of Mateusz Klich<\/a>‘s opener for the Whites despite Villa having a man down injured. However, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa allowed the visitors to score an uncontested equaliser.<\/p>\n

The result left Leeds five points behind the Blades with a game to go, meaning Wilder’s side joined Norwich City<\/a> in getting promoted to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The Blades boss was, however, more disappointed with how the Leeds striker joined others in trying to switch the pressure towards the season’s climax.<\/p>\n

“We’ve had one defeat in 13 and I’ve got muppets from Leeds talking about the pressure being on us,” the 51-year-old told the\u00a0club’s YouTube channel.<\/a><\/p>\n

“Bamford and Forshaw and a couple of others and it’s over to you and this, that and the other. They got beat seven times since Christmas. We’ve been beaten once. We’ve set it up from Christmas to be in the race and we’ve steamrolled it.<\/p>\n

“After the international break, two points a game. That’s promotion form right the way through in the pressure part of the season. Listen, don’t mention anything about bottle and b******s or about us dipping out.<\/p>\n

\u201cFull respect to Marcelo the way they handled that [the controversial goal],\u201d said Wilder<\/a>. \u201cNot full respect to Patrick Bamford at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way we’ve gone about it is under the radar in terms of media coverage, everybody wanted Leeds to go up and we’ve just come absolutely steaming through and deserved to play Premier League football next year.\u201d<\/p>\n
