Juve pulled an outstanding come from behind win out of their hat against Milan on Saturday. That win came thanks to Moise Kean who, after a wild week, came through right when the Bianconeri needed him.

Juventus Can Almost Touch the Title

Juventus 2-1 AC Milan

Juventus came into their game against AC Milan looking to rotate and looking to impress. The Biaconneri have had a really awful week after Moise Kean and Blaise Matuidi were racially abused at Cagliari, but they came out against Milan in a weird formation, a back three with Alex Sandro as one of the three centre-backs. It was clear from the off that it wasn’t going to work.

Milan came out by far the better side. Tiemoue Bakayoko was bossing the midfield, as he has been all season really. The ex-Monaco standout has really put his struggles at Chelsea behind him, bringing the best out of himself at Milan. He does so well stepping up just when Milan have lost possession.

Which was exactly what he did for the first goal. His step up went right to Krzysztof Piatek, and we all know what happened next. Piatek’s goal was his 21st in his first Serie A season, level with Fabio Quagliarella for Capocannoniere, but that was the best moment of AC Milan’s day as it only got worse from there.

Paulo Dybala did not have a good game at all. The Argentine was virtually invisible throughout, except one key moment. Earning an obvious penalty against on a challenge from Mateo Musacchio, it got all leg and no ball, but that was about it for Dybala as he was subbed off in place of the man of the moment; Moise Kean.

It’s Kean’s World

In what might have been his first touch, Kean got on the end of a lovely step up interception from Miralem Pjanic. He then blasted a shot past Pepe Reina into the bottom corner and went sprinting off into the corner. After the week he has had, we should remember that he has scored two winners in his last two games.

The 19-year-old Italian international has been on fire for the last month. He has eight goals in his last nine games in all competitions. He’s handled this whole situation with the utmost class, a true bright light in awful circumstances. He is going to be so good for Italy over this next decade, hopefully, he can break the barriers that Mario Balotelli could not.

What Kean’s winner does right now though is put Juventus within touching distance of the Serie A title. Juventus now only need to win next weekend at SPAL and they will hoist their eighth straight Scudetto. It will be a historic occasion for the Bianconeri, and Moise Kean will have had a key hand in it.

Inter Milan 0-0 Atalanta

Mauro Icardi’s return to San Siro was a disappointing one as neither side could find a goal. Neither side even found any clear cut chances, there was no miraculous save or horrific miss. Both sides really failed to create the chances they should have. Atalanta’s excuse was that they were without Duvan Zapata and his 20 Serie A goals this season.

Meanwhile, Icardi and his teammates were unable to generate any good chances. A lot of their offense in this game was putting players in positions where they weren’t effective. Something like Mauro Icardi putting in the cross for Ivan Perisic, not vice-versa. Time and time again Inter attacks petered out because of play like that.

These are two sides battling it out for the Champions League places in Serie A. Inter still hold onto third place after this game, opening up a five-point lead with this draw, but Atalanta failed to take advantage of the Milan loss to Juventus. They stay even with Milan with the point but could have leapfrogged them into fourth place.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Juventus can almost touch the title after another crazy weekend in Serie A.
