Pep Guardiola has had a difficult task this season deciding the combinations on the left side of his team. Ever since joining Manchester City<\/a> last season, Mendy has been constantly out of the team with injury problems.<\/p>\n

Even though he had a stunning start to the season, the French left-back has not played a game since the game week 13 in the Premier League. Last season, the absence of Mendy had caused a lot of problem for Pep Guardiola especially in the Champions League. With Pep Guardiola losing his patience on the World Cup winner, he will be willing to add a quality left back to his squad at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Would Ben Chilwell Fit at Manchester City?<\/h1>\n

Leicester City<\/a>\u2019s Ben Chilwell<\/a> should surely be on his list. The 22-year-old is having a wonderful season with the Foxes. He even got his first England call-up this season and played three matches in the UEFA Nations League this season. The left-back arguably has been Leicester\u2019s best player this season.<\/p>\n

Although the Foxes have been quite below-par this season, Chilwell has performed consistently well throughout. The left-back would be perfect for Pep Guardiola. Even if Mendy remains fit for a majority of next season, Chilwell\u2019s presence will bring much-needed competition for the left-back spot. In absence of the Frenchman, left-back has been a weak spot in the Manchester City team.<\/p>\n

Even though Pep has by far the best squad in the Premier League, left-back has been an Achilles heel for the last two seasons. Chilwell\u2019s addition to the squad will make Pep\u2019s side stronger than ever. The Leicester full-back is one of the best left-backs in the country. His quality will add to Pep\u2019s team balance and make the squad arguably the best in entire Europe.<\/p>\n

Making The Team Stronger Than Ever<\/h2>\n

The youngster is a very sharp-minded footballer. Going forward, he is a big threat with his dribbling and crossing skills. He likes to make runs behind the opposition defence and causes absolute havoc while doing this.<\/p>\n

Defensively, he is quite a stable footballer. He tracks back and keeps his position quite well. He will perfectly suit Pep\u2019s style of play at Manchester City. His runs behind the defence would be well appreciated by David Silva<\/a> and Kevin De Bruyne\u2019<\/a>s incredible vision.<\/p>\n

The full-back will make the defending champions the most dominant side in Europe. For Chilwell, it\u2019s the right time to leave Leicester for a bigger club. Working under a world-class manager like Pep Guardiola will surely develop his game to the next level. The Manchester City team is filled with world-class players. Playing alongside them every day would accelerate his growth. The left-back is still very young and has a lot to improve.<\/p>\n
