Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 27 was one to forget for many fantasy managers. The good news is that the next gameweek\u00a0is almost upon us and it’s time to forget the miseries of last round and look ahead to Gameweek 28.<\/p>\n
Team news might be in short supply with such a quick turnaround for almost every team. So, one must be very careful before deciding to hit that “confirm transfer” button. Remember, once you hit it, you can’t do a Kepa<\/a> and refuse the transfer.<\/p>\n There are some nice looking fixtures this round. The trick is to pick the right one that starts and does well. That puts Raheem Sterling<\/a> and Sergio Aguero<\/a> in risk as they both played 120 minutes in the EFL Cup Final against Chelsea yesterday. With Leroy Sane<\/a> getting only 34 minutes, he could be in line to get a start against West Ham. Gabriel Jesus<\/a> was not in the matchday squad but could he be fit enough for the Hammers? Riyad Mahrez<\/a> did not come on as well. It will be quite risky to pick a captain from Manchester City<\/a> but it is tough to resist the temptation\u00a0of goals against a leaky West Ham<\/a> defence. All things considered, Sane may be the best bet for FPL managers.<\/p>\n Mohamed Salah<\/a> was absolutely lackluster against Man United<\/a> at Old Trafford yesterday. However, the Egyptian tends to punish the lesser likes at Anfield, and he\u00a0faces Watford on Wednesday. This could be a decent opportunity for Liverpool<\/a> to get back to winning ways. With Roberto Firmino<\/a> out, there might be a start for Daniel Sturridge<\/a> or Divock Origi<\/a>. Sadio Mane<\/a> is a good shout for the armband as well from this game. Javi Gracia’s men are in good form though and could provide a tough test for Liverpool.<\/p>\n Arsenal<\/a> played well yesterday to beat Southampton 2-0, but the decision of Unai Emery to bench\u00a0Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang<\/a>\u00a0angered fantasy managers worldwide. This round the Gunners have another mouth-watering home fixture against Bournemouth. The Cherries have a terrible away record and this will be a good chance for Arsenal to consolidate the 4th place with the North London Derby coming up at the weekend. In recent weeks, Emery has played with 1 striker and Arsenal seem to be winning but will he continue playing that way? Probably, Aubameyang is the better choice this round considering he’s just had a bit of a rest.<\/p>\n Southampton will take on Fulham in a must-win fixture at home. Their fantasy assets have the potential to do well as Fulham tend to give away lots of chances and goals. James Ward-Prowse<\/a> and Nathan Redmond<\/a> are probably the best options from this game. A darkhorse\u00a0pick could be\u00a0Matt Targett<\/a> who makes regular forays into the opposition half.\u00a0Charlie Austin<\/a> also could do very well if he gets the start.<\/p>\n Wolves also have a decent looking fixture as they\u00a0travel to Huddersfield on Tuesday. The Terriers seem to have forgotten how to score so a clean sheet is probable. Rui Patricio<\/a>, Matt Doherty<\/a>, and Jonathan Castro Otto are all good picks.\u00a0Ra\u00fal Jim\u00e9nez<\/a> continues to do well and he could get another goal in this game.<\/p>\n Paul Pogba<\/a> cannot be ignored even though United are facing an injury crisis. This could be a tough game for the Red Devils at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. However, Pogba might rise to the occasion and get a good score.<\/p>\n Relegation-threatened Cardiff will take on Everton at home. The Bluebirds will probably think of this as a good opportunity to pick up all 3 points. Everton last played quite a while ago and might be ring rusty. However, the desperation from Cardiff to get the win could offer chances to Everton who will look to star players\u00a0Richarlison and Sigurdsson to supply the goals.<\/p>\n Leicester<\/a> vs Brighton is a very interesting fixture considering the dismissal of Claude Puel<\/a>. Will this make the Foxes play more attacking this week? Brighton need the points to move away from the relegation zone but they are in terrible form away from home.
