Arsenal<\/a> are reportedly eyeing a move for Roma youngster Cengiz Under<\/a> for a sum of\u00a0\u20ac50 million\u00a0in the January transfer window<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cengiz Under has been a revelation for the Serie A giants since his move from Istanbul\u00a0Ba\u015fak\u015fehir last season. He has since scored nine goals in 38 games for the capital club, emerging as one of the most promising young talents in European football.<\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/a>\u2019s target Cengiz Under is a pacy player with vision in front of goal, having scored five goals this season and also having four assists to his credit, proving that he also has an eye for a pass.<\/p>\n

Why do Arsenal Need Him?<\/h2>\n

Arsenal are in need of a versatile player to provide width along a forward line in a squad brimming with options better suited to playing through the middle and signing the 21-year-old Cengiz may fix one of their starting positions.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are keen to bolster their options in the right wing position where they have tried a lot of options including Mesut Ozil<\/a>, Alex Iwobi<\/a> and Henrikh Mkhitaryan<\/a>, and none of them is said to have satisfied manager Unai Emery\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n

The Turkish international himself has hinted<\/a> that he wants to spend the majority of his career in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

With\u00a0Danny Welbeck<\/a>\u2019s contract running out\u00a0next summer and Alex Iwobi<\/a> lacking that end-product, Under will be an enhanced replacement for both. And being only 21, Cengiz still has time to develop and will be worth of each penny of the\u00a0\u20ac50 million price.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are in a transition phase, with\u00a0a great manager in Unai Emery<\/a>. He needs at least two transfer windows to get his best starting XI.<\/p>\n

Securing the transfer of Cengiz Under will be a big boost, as his pace and technical ability along with his determined and disciplined attitude will be key in a side that will aim to challenge for the\u00a0title next season.<\/p>\n
