It was obvious he was in immense pain when the club medics came onto the field and saw the problem. The Argentine was subbed off and Barcelona fans were sweating about his fitness.

Later on, the club revealed that a fractured bone was found in Messi’s right arm. The club stated that he will be out for approximately three weeks. He is set to miss five matches, including two games against Inter in the Champions League and the El Clasico against Real Madrid.

❗ [INJURY NEWS] Leo #Messi fractures arm in 4-2 over Sevilla. The match against Real Madrid is always special. Both teams get the extra push while playing against each other. Take into consideration the form of Los Blancos.

Barcelona is definitely the favourite in the huge clash. Although a lot of preparation is needed for the game, especially without their star man, the Catalans need to focus on something else.

On Wednesday, Barca’s Champions League clash against Inter will be a game to watch as Luciano Spalleti’s side are very well organized. The focus should be shifted onto this game as both teams have been in top form and are looking for glory.

Now with Messi out, Barcelona have a huge task. It is clear no one is able to fill the void of the 31-year-old. They need to find a way to win their huge matches without their star man.
