In Matchday four, the candidates for the Premier League<\/a>‘s underrated players include Aleksandar Mitrovic for his impressive start and Traor\u00e9 for his last-gasp winner. Plus, Etienne Capoue for the shutting down of his old club, thus preserving Watford’s\u00a0perfect record and ruining Spurs’.<\/p>\n

Premier League\u2019s Underrated Players of Matchday Four<\/h1>\n

Aleksandar\u00a0Mitrovic<\/h2>\n

This player has undergone a season of fantastic transformation. In December 2017 he was on the verge of leaving Newcastle<\/a> after a lack of playing time. He did indeed leave for Fulham on loan.<\/p>\n

This has been a great deal so far, Mitrovic notching four goals in four appearances, a brilliant record. It is refreshing to see for a player who was so unfavoured at St James Park to make his name at the newly promoted London club.<\/p>\n

During this matchday, he managed to score one whilst his team drew 2-2 with Brighton. Antithetically, he gave away a penalty with a handball in the box, converted by Glenn Murray thus squandering Fulham’s 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n

All in all, a rollercoaster game. However, it is his recent form over the first four matches for Fulham which name him as a player needing some credit.<\/p>\n

Adama Traor\u00e9<\/h2>\n

Electric pace, strength and sound technical ability; Traor\u00e9 is a big up and coming threat. He joined promoted Wolves<\/a> this August from Middlesbrough. His development is very interesting, with his origin in Spain with the Barcelona youth setup.<\/p>\n

He then made a move to Aston Villa in 2015, before moving to Middlesbrough. Clearly, this young man has not realised his full talent yet. Barcelona’s loss could well be\u00a0Wolves’ gain.<\/p>\n

Wolves currently sit in 11th, with five points garnered in four matches. This isn’t a great haul, but Traor\u00e9’s very late winner against West Ham<\/a> on Saturday gave them a much better foothold in the league.<\/p>\n

He came off from the bench to make this impressive impact. Perhaps this will get the player a better foothold in the first team.<\/p>\n

Etienne Capoue<\/h2>\n

He fought very well against his old club, ending their perfect record, extending their\u00a0own 100% record to four matches. This player was one of many important players for the club on this exhilarating day, making him one of the Premier League’s underrated players.<\/p>\n

Whilst the play at times was desperate and ugly, it negated the key threats of Spurs. Harry Kane had a few chances that he squandered. Christian Eriksen could not create any real clear-cut\u00a0chances with limited space.<\/p>\n

The one goal that Tottenham did score was an unfortunate own goal when Lucas Moura’s cutback cannoned off Abdoulaye Doucour\u00e9’s chest.<\/p>\n

Watford’s excellence was very much down to the efforts of Capoue and the midfield. They really stifled Spurs in the final third. The extent of their harrying as well as shutting down deep in their half meant that their opponents did not get one shot on target in the first half.<\/p>\n

This was the first time such a feat had occurred in the Premier League since Spurs played Manchester City in December 2017.<\/p>\n
