Inter Milan in For Luka?<\/h2>\n

Winner of player of the tournament in Russia, Luka Modric captained his team to the World Cup final. It is surprising that Modric<\/a> hasn\u2019t been linked with more clubs in this transfer window. Inter Milan<\/a>\u00a0made contact with Real Madrid<\/a> over a move for the playmaker. Inter have not featured in the Champions League for six years and subsequently need to bolster their ranks for this season’s competition. The news comes from Sky Italy with Madrid yet to comment.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s Zaha Bid Rejected as Spurs Wait in the Eagles’ Wings<\/h2>\n

Chelsea’s<\/a> bid for Crystal Palace<\/a>\u00a0forward Wilfried Zaha has been rejected. Chelsea offered \u00a330 million plus Danny Drinkwater. Palace value the player higher. They do not view Drinkwater as a suitable replacement. Daniel Levy, yet to make any signings in this transfer window, is prepared to offer \u00a345 million plus \u2018considerable add-ons.\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n

Tottenham have been linked with the player for two years. Lucas Moura has caught the eye in the ICC Trophy and Zaha plays in that position. Zaha is an exciting player but can he fit into an already talented Tottenham squad? Tottenham are looking to sell as well with Kevin N\u2019Koudou and Moussa Sissoko players who could leave before the window shuts.<\/p>\n

Anthony Martial AWOL?<\/h2>\n

Manchester United gave Anthony Martial permission to leave the United tour of the U.S. to attend the birth of his second child. Jose Mourinho believes the player should already have returned to the tour. He has now said that he \u2018does not know<\/a>\u2019 when that will be. It is also a case of \u2018if\u2019 the player will return.<\/p>\n

Manchester United have moved focus to Harry Maguire. United remain confident of striking a deal for Toby Alderweireld should Spurs drop their valuation of the player. Spurs want Martial as part of any deal for Alderweireld and don\u2019t want to risk losing the player for \u00a325 million next year. Is Martial agitating for a move? Time will tell as the football transfer window draws to a close.<\/p>\n
