On a chilly Sunday at <\/span><b>Anfield<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Liverpool\u2019s football was red hot. Watford were stunned by a masterclass performance from <\/span><b>J\u00fcrgen<\/b><b> Klopp\u2019s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">side. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recap<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Watford competed well for the first fifteen minutes. Liverpool were probing and Watford tried to live off breakdowns in Liverpool\u2019s play. A nice corner routine saw <\/span><b>Philippe Coutinho<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> fire in a cross that Sadio Man\u00e9 finished with a bullet header. The Reds had the lead and were never to look back. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The brilliant Coutinho then fired a superbly disguised shot into the Watford net and it was 2-0. <\/span><b>Emre Can<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> put the finishing header on a flowing Liverpool move and it was beginning to look like a rout at halftime. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liverpool dominated the second half with goals from <\/span><b>Sadio Man\u00e9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Gini Wijnaldum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Roberto Firmino. Daryl Janmaat <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provided a tidy finish for Watford\u2019s solitary consolation goal. As a result of Liverpool\u2019s dominance, <\/span><b>Daniel Sturridge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was brought on as a substitute clipped the woodwork twice.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How Good Are Liverpool?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liverpool currently sit at the top of the <\/span><b>Premier League<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Not since the halcyon days of <\/span><b>Luis Suarez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the Indian Summer of <\/span><b>Steven Gerrard\u2019s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">career in 2013 \/14 have the Reds topped the table. As seen\u00a0in the last few games,\u00a0Liverpool&#8217;s attacking play is first rate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Defensively they are becoming more consistent. Geggenpressing, when applied expertly, is very difficult to play against. All of these factors bode well for Liverpool&#8217;s title challenge. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man\u00e9 of course will be missed when he travels to represent his country in the <\/span><b>African Cup of Nations <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in early 2017. Klopp may have given a glimpse versus Watford of his solution to losing the pacey forward. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Man\u00e9 was substituted on the hour mark. Sturridge replaced him, offering less pace but more guile and pure striking ability. Liverpool didn\u2019t miss a beat with this change and Sturridge may well have a big role to play as a starter early next year. The Watford game was such a dominant display that similarities can be drawn with the last Liverpool league winning side. <\/span><b>Kenny Dalglish\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CcUuU6ycXdE&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">demolished <\/a><\/span><b>Crystal Palace<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 9-0 and went on to win the league.
