Bournemouth vs Sunderland: Match Preview<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bournemouth, currently tenth in the standings, host a Sunderland\u00a0club at the\u00a0bottom of the table with only two points from their opening ten games.<\/p>\n

Current Form<\/h3>\n

Bournemouth lost during the last round of fixtures, but they have made a solid base from which they can build. A narrow victory against\u00a0Everton<\/strong>\u00a0and a 6-1 hammering of Hull City<\/strong><\/a> has shown that this team is here to play and up to the challenge of the Premier League.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, one win from the previous four fixtures suggests that there is definitely room for improvement.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth manager\u00a0Eddie Howe<\/strong> will\u00a0be without midfielder\u00a0Andrew Surman\u00a0<\/strong>after he sustained an injury during the 2-0 loss at\u00a0Middlesbrough last weekend.<\/p>\n

This means that\u00a0Dan Gosling<\/strong> could be recalled to take Surman’s place.\u00a0Winger\u00a0Junior Stanislas\u00a0<\/strong>is still struggling with a calf problem and might\u00a0also miss out on the match.<\/p>\n

Sunderland will be without their manager on the sidelines for this fixture. David Moyes is currently serving a one-game touchline ban for swearing at the fourth official. This came during his side’s defeat at Southampton<\/strong> in an EFL Cup<\/strong> tie.<\/p>\n

His team will also be without captain\u00a0John O’Shea<\/strong>\u00a0due to a hamstring injury sustained in last weekend’s 4-1 defeat to Arsenal<\/strong><\/a>. Vito Mannone<\/strong>, Jan Kirchhoff<\/strong>, Sebastian Larsson<\/strong>, Lee Cattermole<\/strong>, Fabio Borini<\/strong> and Jason Denayer<\/strong> all continue to miss out\u00a0due to\u00a0various injuries.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth have only won once in the eight meetings between these sides; a 2-0 victory last season with goals from Callum Wilson<\/strong> and Matt Ritchie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sunderland\u00a0are in the midst of\u00a0their worst start ever to a Premier League season, drawing two and losing eight in their first ten matches.<\/p>\n

The Cherries have used the fewest players so far this league season with 19.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth\u00a0versus Sunderland is a game both sides will be looking to get something from. Having lost during the previous round of fixtures, Bournemouth will be keen to continue the quest to ensure their Premier League status. Another three points on Saturday would continue them on a successful path.<\/p>\n

Sunderland, however, will be hoping to\u00a0secure their first\u00a0victory of the season. If they can manage it here or at home\u00a0against\u00a0Hull next week, they could ease the pressure on their manager.
