Tottenham<\/strong>\u00a0vs\u00a0Leicester City<\/strong>\u00a0sees last season’s champions travel to\u00a0White Hart Lane<\/strong>, facing a team that finished third after\u00a0a promising campaign.\u00a0Spurs<\/strong>, currently fifth, welcome a Leicester side in 12th – a team whose current league fortunes contrast heavily with last season’s.<\/p>\n

Current Form<\/h3>\n

Tottenham have yet to suffer a loss this season, winning five and drawing four of their opening nine matches.<\/p>\n

They have, however, looked a little short on goals lately, highlighting the absence of star striker Harry Kane<\/strong>. A goalless draw at Bournemouth<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0meant the North Londoners missed out\u00a0on leading the league table, even if only for an afternoon.<\/p>\n

Leicester City on the other hand, have been experiencing mixed results. A win, a draw and a loss in their last three games sums up their season so far. Furthermore, star duo\u00a0Jamie Vardy<\/strong> and Riyad Mahrez<\/strong> have yet to hit the same heights they did\u00a0last season.<\/p>\n

Foxes<\/strong> manager\u00a0Claudio Ranieri\u00a0<\/strong>was pleased to get back to winning ways last week. A 3-1 win at home to Crystal Palace<\/a> came as a welcome reminder of the quality the squad possesses. However, all of Leicester City’s losses have come away from home this season.\u00a0This weekend will surely represent a different test to their last league outing.<\/p>\n

Team News<\/h3>\n

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino<\/strong>\u00a0will be without defender\u00a0Toby Alderweireld<\/strong> once more as the Belgian recovers from a knee injury. Striker\u00a0Harry Kane is close to returning from an\u00a0ankle problem, but looks set to miss out this weekend.<\/p>\n

Midfielder\u00a0Moussa Sissoko\u00a0<\/strong>starts his three-game suspension for violent conduct after\u00a0a clash with Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter<\/strong> last weekend.<\/p>\n

Ranieri and Leicester continue to be without midfielder\u00a0Nampalys Mendy <\/strong>who\u00a0misses out with an ankle injury. Also sidelined is defender\u00a0Ben Chilwell<\/strong>\u00a0who is kept out due to\u00a0a muscular strain.<\/p>\n

Statistics<\/h3>\n

Tottenham have conceded only four goals this season – the lowest of any team in the league.<\/p>\n

If Leicester\u00a0win at White Hart Lane this weekend, it will be only the second time they\u00a0have won there\u00a0since 1999.<\/p>\n

Spurs are the only team left this season yet to concede a goal from open play.<\/p>\n

The Foxes\u00a0have lost four games this season – one more loss than in the whole of last season.<\/p>\n

Tottenham vs Leicester City could prove to be a game that tests both sides on their recent shortcomings this season.<\/p>\n

Spurs are without their talismanic\u00a0forward, and therefore could find goals hard to come by. With stand-in Vincent Janssen’s\u00a0<\/strong>only two strikes coming from the penalty spot in cup matches, Pochettino may ask his midfield to try and\u00a0ease the burden on him.<\/p>\n

With Leicester conceding most of their goals away from home, an opponent missing their main\u00a0frontman could be what the doctor ordered. The inclusion of link-man\u00a0Shinji Okazaki\u00a0<\/strong>worked wonders last time out, and may play an important role this time around.<\/p>\n
