Ramadan Sobhi has left Stoke City<\/a> and agreed a move to Huddersfield Town<\/a>. The Egyptian winger had four years left on his contract with the Potters. Sobhi wanted to remain in the Premier League after Stoke were relegated. He will join up with the Terriers after representing Egpyt at the 2018\u00a0World Cup. The move was for an undisclosed fee.<\/p>\n

Ramadan Sobhi Agrees a Move to Huddersfield<\/h1>\n

The 21-year-old winger made his debut for the Potters in August 2016 against Manchester City<\/a>. The Egyptian’s first assist came against Swansea City<\/a> in October 2016, playing 19 times in the 2016\/2017 season.<\/p>\n

After signing the five-year contract before the start of the 2017\/2018 season, Sobhi’s first goal came in the EFL Cup against Rochdale. The 21-year-old scored his first Premier League goal in December 2017 against West Bromwich Albion<\/a>. His second came a few days later against Huddersfield Town<\/a> as the teams drew.<\/p>\n

Sobhi’s agent\u00a0Nader Shawky confirmed before the move that the youngster was close to remaining in the Premier League<\/a>. Stating that there had been offers from several top-flight clubs, as well as International interest.<\/p>\n

What Does Sobhi Bring to Huddersfield?<\/h1>\n

The Egyptian is primarily a winger and can play on both wings. Sobhi can also be an attacking midfielder or striker. The youngster has clinical passing skills\u00a0and an eye for goal. Along with vision and dribbling, Sobhi will be a much-needed addition to Huddersfield.<\/p>\n

Sobhi is ideal for the Terriers as his eye for the goal as well as clinical passing is a much-needed asset. The ability to feed the strikers into the box is something that every club requires. He will have the great opportunity to further his football with the move to Yorkshire. Although still young, signing a three-year contract with Huddersfield shows the determination of both them and Sobhi.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the club’s official website, Huddersfield boss David Wagner said<\/a>:\u00a0“He\u2019s a real talent and has achieved a lot for a player who is only 21 years old, playing over 20 times for his country ahead of this summer\u2019s World Cup.<\/p>\n

“Just as Jonas L\u00f6ssl, Elias Kachunga and Laurent Depoitre did, Ramadan will join our club on the back of a challenging season. However, he already has a lot of the qualities that we look for in our \u2018Terriers Identity\u2019; he\u2019s skilful, direct and very quick-thinking. He still has a lot of space to improve too, which is very exciting!”<\/p>\n
