Jensen Set to Compete for the Number One spot
Danish goalkeeper Jensen moves from local rivals Burnley. The keeper has impressed for the Clarets’ under-23s this season. He has been with them for the past two campaigns but this will be his first loan away from Turf Moor.
Jensen will compete for the number one spot in the Bolton team. He will work alongside goalkeeping coach and teammate Matt Gilks, with the keeper raring to go and help the Wanderers climb the table.
Speaking to the Bolton website about his move, Jensen said: “It’s been absolutely amazing to be here so far. I’ve been looking to get some experience of senior football for a long time, where there’s something on the line in every game.
“To be at Wanderers is really amazing. It’s a big club with a great history and I’ll do whatever I can to help bring back the good times.
“There have been many great Danish players who have played here and hopefully I can carry on and do what they did.”
Oladapo Afolayan Also Signs for the Trotters
As well as announcing Jensen, Bolton have also snapped up striker Oladapo Afolayan. He arrives from West Ham ready to taste the EFL.
He recently scored his first goal for the Hammers on his debut against Doncaster Rovers, but will now get some regular first-team football and gain vital experience.
Speaking about the signing of the striker, manager Ian Evatt said: “We are really pleased to have brought in Dapo. He’s quick, strong and technical, and a very exciting talent that can play all along the front three”
Both players could make their debuts against Mansfield Town tomorrow night.
