Dominik Szoboszlai Completes RB Leipzig Move

Szoboszlai Leipzig move

RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has officially completed a move to RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to £25 million. He will wear the number 17 shirt.

The official confirmation reveals the news we already knew of Arsenal’s failure to secure the creative midfielder, who, instead, opted to move to the Bundesliga and Leipzig.

Leipzig a Good Move for Szoboszlai

By completing a move to Leipzig, Szoboszlai follows in the footsteps of the likes of Naby Keita, who also completed a transfer from Salzburg to the Bundesliga club. The midfielder will be hoping for similar to form a similar success story to Naby Keita’s, too, in the Bundesliga.

His stats suggest he is more than capable of doing so. The 20-year-old has been involved in 19 goals in 21 games this season with nine goals and 10 assists. The fact is, Szoboszlai produces stats similar to that of a £70 million midfielder, not one just sold for £25 million.

Leipzig, for just £25 million, have secured themselves potentially the bargain of the season, and perhaps the difference-maker in the race for the Bundesliga title.

Difference Maker in Title Race

Julian Nagelsmann’s side currently sit third, level on points with Bayern Munich, and just one point away from leaders RB Leipzig. The race to be crowned champions is closer than it has been for years in the Bundesliga; Leipzig must take advantage.

With the likes of Szoboszlai at his disposal, Julian Nagelsmann is perfectly capable of guiding his side to glory. With the foundation of the best defensive record in the league to build from, too, RB Leipzig could be the team to steal the throne from Bayern Munich.

As the season develops, Szoboszlai will certainly be a talent to keep a close eye on in the Bundesliga after completing a move to Leipzig.
