Sarr

According to Adam Leventhal of The Athletic, Watford winger Ismailia Sarr is expected to stay at Watford despite a reported £25 million bid from Crystal Palace. and could play a part in Watford’s next game against Derby County.

The news follows a summer of speculation which saw the winger linked with several moves away to the Premier League. As reported, however, he is now expected to stay put and play a key role in Watford’s search for Promotion back to the Premier League.

Sarr Expected to Stay at Watford

Ready to Take the Championship by Storm

The truth is, Ismaila Sarr’s level stretches far beyond England’s second-tier; he has the talent to be playing for a team in the Premier League’s top half. Yet a move has failed to transpire, and now Sarr has the opportunity to set the Championship alight to take Watford swiftly back to the heavens of Premier League football.

So far, Watford, now managed by Vladimir Ivic, have been well below the standards expected of them, winning just two games out of a possible four and placing seventh. With Sarr’s future at the club, at least in the short term, now secured, though, the Hornets can focus on making the much-needed improvements.

Eventual Move Away Inevitable?

A player of Sarr’s quality usually doesn’t stick around long when asked to play in the Championship. For now, Watford have completed the task of keeping him, but, when January arrives, so will the transfer rumours once more, potentially leading to the young winger’s exit.

Either way, it is Championship football which beckons right now for Sarr and the chance to prove his worth to potential on watching buyers from Europe’s top leagues.

As for Watford, they’ll be hoping to record their third win of the season up against a tough Derby County side with Wayne Rooney at the helm.
