REPORT: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Verge of New Arsenal Deal

According to reports, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the verge of signing a new Arsenal deal. Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal will be complete soon. The news will come as a relief for Arsenal fans who may have feared a potential exit for their captain this summer. 

Aubameyang, however, after the FA Cup win, is set to stay. The former Dortmund man has enjoyed teasing the Arsenal fans over social media, too, posting cryptic posts which could signify a new contract.

By securing the services of Aubameyang for a few more years yet, Arsenal have almost Guaranteed 20-30 goals a season. The Arsenal skipper’s goals have carried the Gunners at times this season. 

Just a month ago, Aubameyang’s Wembley brace helped Arsenal to a 14th FA Cup win. It was the day he confirmed his hero status, and the day his loyalties to Arsenal strengthened significantly.

Potential arrivals will receive deserved hype upon stepping onto the hallowed turf of the Emirates this summer. Yet, as Aubameyang reportedly signs on the dotted lines, it has to be said, the deal will be the most crucial of the summer for Arsenal.

Pieces Beginning to Fall Into Place for Arsenal and Aubameyang

With an FA Cup secured in the first months of his tenure, Mikel Arteta will be keen to kick on ahead of next season. Already this summer, Willian has arrived; Aubameyang has been secured, and the pieces are beginning to fall into place for Arsenal.

This season will be crucial for the Gunners as they seek an unexpected return to the top four, or, at the very least, the top six. Aubameyang will undoubtedly play a key part in the future of Arteta’s Arsenal side. The new contract for the forward is Arteta’s best act yet at the Emirates.
