Mansfield Town Issue Released and Retained List

Following the curtailment of the League Two season, Mansfield Town have become the latest side in the league to issue their released and retained lists. Eleven players will be leaving the club with immediate effect, while negotiations are taking place with seven players about staying at Field Mill.

Out of Contract

Veteran Neal Bishop, who joined the club in 2018, leaves the club after making 23 appearances in his two seasons with the stags. As well, Craig Davies leaves after two seasons, as does Otis Khan, who spent part of this season on loan at Newport County.

Goalkeeper Conrad Logan, who was loaned to Forest Green Rovers in January, is also among those to depart along with fellow goalkeeper Robert Olejnik.

Defenders Krystian Pearce and Matt Preston will not be retained by the club either, while Alex MacDonald, Omari Sterling-James, Noah Stokes and Hayden White join them in leaving.

Negotiations Underway

Striker Nicky Maynard is the most notable of the players who the club are currently negotiating with. He is the second-top scorer in the league with 14, only behind Swindon Town’s Eoin Doyle.

Tom Fielding and Jordan Graham are also in talks with the club over extending their deals, as are Lewis Gibbens, Joe Riley, Alistair Smith and Aiden Walker.

Retained

A number of players have had options in their contract exercised by the club, tying them to an extra year. Mal Benning and Harry Charsley are among those along with James Clarke, CJ Hamilton and Jason Law.

Danny Rose, Aidan Stone and Willem Tomlinson have also had contract options taken up by the club.

Players already under contract for next season are Andy Cook, Kellan Gordon, Jimmy Knowles, Tyrese Sinclair and Ryan Sweeney.
