March Adds Some Much-Needed Firepower To The Forest Green Attack

Rovers have completed the signing of Leamington striker Josh March for an undisclosed fee.

The striker has been prolific in the National League North this season and will be hoping to carry that form into the football league.

March arrives with a terrific record having scored 24 goals in 27 league games this season.

Non-league Leamington announced over the weekend that they had accepted a bid from an EFL side for March.

22-year-old March adds some more firepower to the Forest Green attack.

He is manager Mark Cooper’s second January signing after they signed Jevani Brown from Colchester United.

March is a proven goal scorer in non-league, and he will be hoping to emulate that success in the football league.

The young forward continues Forest Green’s transfer strategy of finding young, talented players in non-league football.

Ebou Adams has flourished since arriving from Ebbsfleet United and March will be confident he can make the step up to the Football League.

March could make his debut this weekend when Forest Green travel to Field Mill to face Mansfield Town.

As Josh March Arrives, Two Loanees Exit The New Lawn

As well as announcing the arrival of Josh March, Forest Green have also confirmed that loanees Jojo Wollacott and Kyle Taylor have returned to their parent clubs Bristol City and Bournemouth.

A body blow for Mark Cooper who will be looking to fill the positions vacated by Wollacott and Taylor.

Wollacott played 15 times for Forest Green keeping eight clean sheets. Mark Cooper will now look at securing a new goalkeeper during the remainder of the transfer window.

But it isn’t all doom and gloom for Forest Green with the club also confirming that Taylor Allen has returned to the club.

Allen was recalled from his loan spell at Hereford United.
