Lamar Jackson<\/strong> ran for four touchdowns and added another through the air in 10th\u00a0ranked\u00a0Louisville’s (3-0, 2-0)\u00a0<\/strong>63-20 blow out defeat of second\u00a0ranked\u00a0Florida State (2-1, 0-1)<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday<\/strong>. The 43-point loss was the largest of\u00a0Jimbo Fisher’s\u00a0<\/strong>career in Tallahassee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Louisville held Florida State to 284 yards of total offense and forced an interception in the rout.\u00a0Red-shirt freshman quarterback,\u00a0Deondre Francois<\/strong>, had his worst performance of his career throwing for just 101 yards on one completion for the Seminoles.\u00a0The Cardinals also held\u00a0Dalvin Cook<\/strong> to 54 yards rushing on 16 carries.<\/p>\n Jackson paced the Cardinals’ offense with 362 yards of total offense and five touchdowns. He ran rampant over Florida State’s defense racking up 146 yards on 17 carries. Jackson’s lone blemish was an interception in the end zone after the game was well out of hand.<\/p>\n Louisville came out of the gates quickly, jumping out to a 14-0 lead. Florida State answered with 10 straight points of its own. However, the Seminoles never got closer than being down 14-10. Louisville answered with a nine play, 79-yard touchdown drive. Florida State would give the ball right back to Louisville on a botched exchange between Francois and Cook. The Cardinals scored on a 23-yard drive that ended with Jackson’s lone touchdown pass. After another Florida State punt, Louisville added a fifth first half touchdown drive in 58 seconds to go into halftime with a 35-10 lead.<\/p>\n Any hopes of a miraculous comeback ended following Florida State’s opening drive of the second half. The Seminoles were forced to punt after three plays, and\u00a0Jabri Alexander\u00a0<\/strong>returned that punt 69 yards for a score. Louisville continued to light up the scoreboard from that point adding three more rushing touchdowns before time ran out.<\/p>\n Louisville has now scored 60 or more points in all three of its games this year.
