While several position groups appear settled, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2026\/07\/19\/florida-state-2026-football-offensive-preview\/\" target=\"_self\">replacing the entire starting offensive line<\/a> remains one of the biggest questions the Seminoles must answer heading into camp.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Projecting Florida State\u2019s 2026 Starting Offense<\/h2>\n<h3>Quarterback<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starter: Ashton Daniels<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Backup: Kevin Sperry<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Third-string: Malachi Marshall<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After battling with <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/kevin-sperry-2.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Sperry<\/a> throughout spring ball, experience won out as veteran transfer <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/ashton-daniels-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ashton Daniels<\/a> secured the starting job. Daniels played well in two key games for Auburn last season (Vanderbilt, Alabama), managing both games efficiently while showing improvement from his previous stint with Stanford.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite there being glaring inconsistencies in his game, head coach Mike Norvell elected to take a shot on Daniels and bank on the upside he flashed at Auburn. With Norvell pronouncing Daniels as the starter, confidence levels should rise for the fifth-year player as he gains the trust of his teammates and coaches.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Running Back<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starter: Ousmane Kromah<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Backup: Quintrevion Wisner<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Third-string: Samuel Singleton Jr.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who starts at running back is a difficult question to answer, as both <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/ousmane-kromah-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ousmane Kromah<\/a> and <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/tre-wisner-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quintrevion Wisner<\/a> have immense talent and figure to get a significant amount of reps this season. Kromah might have the advantage as a returning player who is expected to get better in his second year with the program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though Wisner brings more proven production, Kromah\u2019s long-term upside may give him the edge entering fall camp. One thing is certain: the one-two punch of Kromah and Wisner will be a nightmare to game plan against.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Tight End<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starter: Desirrio Riles<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Backup: Landen Thomas<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/desirrio-riles-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Desirrio Riles<\/a> transfers in from East Carolina after showcasing his potential as a receiving threat last fall. With <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/randy-pittman-jr-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Randy Pittman Jr.\u2019s<\/a> departure to ACC foe SMU, Riles will be asked to fill the pass-catching void left behind and perhaps become a more effective run blocker than Pittman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/landen-thomas-2.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Landen Thomas<\/a> is a third-year player with nice length at 6-foot-4. He started seven games in 2024, but saw his production and role diminish last season. Riles should get the starting nod at tight end.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wide Receiver<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. 1: Duce Robinson<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. 2: Jayvan Boggs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. 3: Micahi Danzy<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/duce-robinson-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Duce Robinson<\/a> returns to Florida State as one of the best receivers in college football, boasting an imposing frame at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds and producing a 1,000-yard receiving season. Having a number one receiver like Robinson is a huge advantage and should help Daniels ease into the offense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/micahi-danzy-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Micahi Danzy<\/a> put his explosive track speed on full display last year, emerging as a legitimate deep threat who could also be utilized in motion packages. If Danzy takes another step in his development, he could put up bigger numbers than last season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jayvan-boggs-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jayvan Boggs<\/a> started four games in his first season with the program, hauling in nine passes for 103 yards and a score. Boggs put up impressive numbers as a senior at Cocoa High School and projects as a favorite to start, though the pair of <a  href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/player\/devin-carter-46135482\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devin Carter<\/a> and <a  href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/player\/jasen-lopez-46140872\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jasen Lopez<\/a> could shake things up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Offensive Line<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LT Xavier Chaplin<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LG <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Andr\u00e9 Otto<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C Bradyn Joiner<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RG Nate Pabst<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RT Chimdia Nwaiwu<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With an influx of experienced transfers joining the offensive line, there are several contenders for starting jobs. <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/xavier-chaplin-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xavier Chaplin<\/a> at left tackle seems to be solidified as he possesses great size and has experience protecting Ashton Daniels. Outside of that, competition will likely continue throughout most of fall camp.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/bradyn-joiner-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bradyn Joiner<\/a>, <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/nate-pabst-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nate Pabst<\/a>, and <a  href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/player\/chimdia-nwaiwu-46163636\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chimdia Nwaiwu<\/a> would mean that four of five starters up front would be transfers, with <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/andre-otto-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andr\u00e9 Otto<\/a> being the lone returning starter. Otto and Pabst seem likely to start at the guard positions, while center and right tackle appear to be up in the air.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Returnees <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/chavez-thompson-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chavez Thompson<\/a> and <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jonathan-daniels-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jonathan Daniels<\/a> will factor into this competition and could determine what the starting lineup ends up being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Outlook<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Florida State\u2019s skill-position talent gives the Seminoles one of the ACC\u2019s highest offensive ceilings entering 2026.
