It’s time to take a look at the Florida State 2026 Football Offensive Preview. After significant offensive improvement last season, Florida State looks to build a formidable unit around a strong core of skill position talent heading into 2026. The firepower is there with Duce Robinson, Micahi Danzy, Ousmane Kromah, and several other key contributors returning, but questions about the quarterback and the front line<\/a> could determine the Seminoles\u2019 offensive ceiling this fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the third consecutive season, Florida State is breaking in a new starting quarterback, relying on a veteran transfer to provide stability. Along the offensive front, FSU will also feature a new starting five for the second consecutive season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With head coach Mike Norvell assuming play-calling duties after offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn announced his retirement, getting two of the most important position groups in football to click could determine his future in Tallahassee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the buyout is steep, patience is running thin for a program that has a rich tradition rooted in winning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Florida State 2026 Football Offensive Preview<\/h2>\n

Key Returners<\/span><\/h3>\n

The running back and wide receiver rooms bring back valuable depth and experience, giving head coach Mike Norvell a high-level supporting cast to tinker with. At running back, Ousmane Kromah<\/a> spearheads a deep stable of rushers with breakout potential in 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kromah had a standout first season with FSU, rushing for 408 yards on 72 carries. A balanced tailback with a distinct skillset, Kromah is expected to have a big year despite there being tremendous depth in the room.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Samuel Singleton Jr.<\/a> enters his fourth season with the program after earning FWAA Freshman All-American Kick Returner honors in 2024 before erupting for 360 rushing yards and four scores a season ago. Singleton serves as a nice complement to the running style of Kromah, flashing some explosiveness with an average of 7.1 yards per rush.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Like running back, the depth appears to be plentiful at wide receiver. First-team All-ACC selection Duce Robinson<\/a> returns after hauling in 56 passes for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns. With a massive frame at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, Robinson is a matchup nightmare due to his pure size and versatility in route running.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Track star Micahi Danzy<\/a> is a top-end deep threat, ranking first nationally with six 50-yard plays and averaging 21.15 yards per reception in 2025. Danzy played a critical role in motion packages, tallying 12 carries for 216 yards and three touchdowns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Newcomers<\/span><\/h3>\n

Florida State hit the portal in search of a signal caller and landed Auburn transfer Ashton Daniels<\/a>, an experienced fifth-year player. Through four seasons (Stanford, Auburn), Daniels has thrown for 4,783 yards and 24 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,401 yards and 11 scores.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Daniels\u2019 60.2 percent completion rate and 22 interceptions illustrate two of the biggest inconsistencies in his game, as he at times struggles to make sound decisions when throwing the ball. Daniels will have plenty of firepower at his disposal, but if he isn\u2019t able to become a solid game manager, the impact of the skill position talent could be minimized.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quintrevion Wisner<\/a> gives Florida State another reliable tailback, transferring in from Texas after back-to-back 500-yard rushing seasons. In 2024, Wisner recorded a career-best 1,064 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 226 carries. He also made an impact as a receiving threat, hauling in 44 passes for 311 yards and a score.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Wisner joining holdovers Kromah and Singleton, the Seminoles project to have one of the more lethal backfields in the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

East Carolina transfer Desirrio Riles<\/a> slots in at tight end, giving Daniels another reliable receiving threat. Last season, Riles had 28 receptions for 362 yards and two touchdowns. He will be tasked with replacing Randy Pittman Jr.<\/a>, who transferred to SMU.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Though the supporting cast projects to be strong, how the transfer additions perform along the offensive line will be critical to the offense\u2019s success in 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Left tackle Xavier Chaplin<\/a> (6-8, 354) garnered reps with Daniels last season at Auburn, starting all 12 games and earning a Pro Football Focus grade of 90 or higher in five games. Bradyn Joiner<\/a> (Purdue), Nate Pabst<\/a> (Bowling Green), Chimdia Nwaiwu<\/a> (Stephen F. Austin), and Paul Bowling<\/a> (Troy) round out the offensive line transfer additions, bringing significant starting experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What the starting offensive line combination ends up being is a major question heading into fall camp. Chaplin appears to be the only player who has firmly secured a starting spot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Outlook<\/span><\/h3>\n

As Norvell prepares for a career-defining season, he has his fate in his own hands. The cupboard is far from bare in terms of skill position talent, and it\u2019s Norvell\u2019s job to tailor an offense to the pieces he has.
