Did you save last week&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2026\/01\/09\/football-friday-tailgate-recipes-semi-finals-edition\/\" target=\"_self\">semi-finals recipes<\/a>? \u00a0For this week we have championship worthy snacks. \u00a0I hope you enjoy the tasty treats and the semi-final game this weekend.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"entry-title text-3xl md:text-4xl font-bold text-gray-900 leading-tight\">Football Friday Tailgate Recipes: The National Championship<\/h2>\n<h3><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.cheezit.com\/en-us\/recipes\/dill-pickle-ranch-cheez-It-cracker-party-mix.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cheez-It Party Mix\u00a0<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li itemprop=\"recipeIngredient\"><span>1 box<\/span> <span>Cheez-It<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Snack Mix<\/span><\/li>\n<li itemprop=\"recipeIngredient\"><span>4 tablespoons<\/span> <span>unsalted butter, melted<\/span><\/li>\n<li itemprop=\"recipeIngredient\"><span>2 tablespoons<\/span> <span>dill pickle brine<\/span><\/li>\n<li itemprop=\"recipeIngredient\"><span>1 tablespoon<\/span> <span>ranch seasoning<\/span><\/li>\n<li itemprop=\"recipeIngredient\"><span>1 tablespoon<\/span> <span>dried dill<\/span><\/li>\n<li itemprop=\"recipeIngredient\"><span>1 teaspoon<\/span> <span>garlic powder<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 250F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>In a large zip top bag, combine all ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Spread party mix on prepared baking sheet and bake until lightly toasted and fragrant, 20 minutes, rotating pan half way through.<\/li>\n<li>Let cool slightly, then transfer to a serving bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Mix will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"content-title\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/recipes\/bacon-cheeseburger-buns\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bacon Cheeseburger Buns<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">2 packages (1\/4 ounce each) active dry yeast<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">2\/3 cup warm water (110\u00b0 to 115\u00b0)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">2\/3 cup warm 2% milk (110\u00b0 to 115\u00b0)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1\/4 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1\/4 cup shortening<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">2 large eggs, room temperature<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">2 teaspoons salt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">4-1\/2 to 5 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Filling:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"sub-ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1 pound sliced bacon, diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">2 pounds ground beef<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1 small onion, chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1-1\/2 teaspoons salt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1\/2 teaspoon pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">1 pound Velveeta, cubed<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">3 to 4 tablespoons butter, melted<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient-item \">Optional: Sesame seeds and ketchup or barbecue sauce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-directions__list\">\n<li>In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and 3-1\/2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.<\/li>\n<li>Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels. In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, onion, salt and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add bacon and cheese; cook and stir until cheese is melted. Remove from the heat.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide into fourths. Roll each portion into an 12&#215;8-in. rectangle; cut each into 6 squares. Place 1\/4 cup meat mixture in the center of each square. Bring corners together in the center and pinch to seal.<\/li>\n<li>Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Bake until lightly browned, 9-11 minutes. Brush with butter. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a 4-inch-wide ovenproof ramekin in center of prepared baking sheet; set aside.<\/li>\n<li id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block southernliving-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\">Mix quesadilla filling: <\/span>Stir together chicken, pimiento cheese, cilantro, hot sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper in a large bowl; set aside. Stir together pepper Jack and Cheddar cheeses in a medium bowl; reserve 1 cup cheese blend in a small bowl.<\/li>\n<li id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block southernliving-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\">Stuff and roll tortillas: <\/span>Cut tortillas in half. Working with one at a time, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the remaining cheese blend in an even layer over a tortilla half; top with 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture.<\/li>\n<li id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Fold in one corner of tortilla to cover half the filling. Fold over again to enclose the filling and form a cone shape; place seam side down.<\/li>\n<li id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Repeat the process with remaining tortilla halves, cheese blend, and chicken mixture.<\/li>\n<li id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block southernliving-sc-block-subheading mntl-sc-block-subheading\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-subheading__text\">Arrange rolled tortillas: <\/span>Arrange half of tortilla cones, seam side down, in an even layer around ramekin on prepared baking sheet, with pointed ends against ramekin.<\/li>\n<li id=\"mntl-sc-block_22-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Sprinkle half of the reserved cheese blend over cones. Repeat with remaining tortilla cones and cheese blend, arranging cones, seam side down, on top of first layer.
