But for the second straight week, we posted sub-500 results across the board. Both against the spread and moneyline selections went 2-3. Totals were an abysmally low 1-4, and the lock never arrived either. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2025\/11\/11\/week-12-big-12-power-rankings-three-teams-one-ticket-remaining\/\" target=\"_self\">the race at the top of the conference is heating up<\/a>. Will that translate into plenty of chalk in the Big 12 week 12 winners? Or is there unforeseen chaos ahead? Cincinnati might be in one of the most vulnerable positions with BYU coming to town next week. But Scott Satterfield\u2019s team is coming off a bye week. They are welcoming a quality Arizona team to Nippert for an early morning start (10am body clock start for the Wildcats). Cincinnati still controls its Big 12 destiny. If this game were on the road, Last Word would lean towards an upset. The big caveat there is they are no longer a smoldering pile of garbage competing for title of the worst team in the P4. They are just a bad team now. Both teams are coming off a bye week. Kansas State\u2019s slim hopes of making a late-season run for a conference championship birth <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2025\/11\/01\/texas-tech-defense-dominates-kansas-state-with-five-takeaways\/\" target=\"_self\">were dismantled by Texas Tech<\/a> the last time we saw them. <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/avery-johnson-2.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avery Johnson<\/a> is going to have a big game for the Wildcats. If Arizona State has played a P4 team, they have played a one-score game (except for getting run over by Utah). While Arizona State is coming off a bye week, they are still playing out the rest of the season with <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jeff-sims-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jeff Sims<\/a> at quarterback. He has demonstrated that completing down field passes is not a strong suit. West Virginia\u2019s mini winning streak hasn\u2019t been the prettiest, but the team is performing better. In nine games, Arizona State has shown they cannot separate from a P4 team. The biggest challenge to this team on Saturday is itself. As long as this team comes ready from the opening kickoff <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2025\/11\/13\/texas-tech-week-12-no-letdown-against-ucf\/\" target=\"_self\">to keep any let down at bay<\/a>, this one won\u2019t be close. <strong>Moneyline: Texas Tech ATS: Texas Tech Total 47.5: Under<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>#13 Utah (-7.5) At Baylor<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>How To Watch: <\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Date and Time:<\/b> Saturday, Nov. 15th at 7:00 pm \u00a0EST<br \/>\n<b>Television: <\/b>ESPN 2<\/p>\n<p>Oddly enough, this is the third consecutive year these two teams have met. But this matchup in Waco is the first in which the result will matter in the conference standings. The Bears have struggled all year defensively, but more specifically against powerful running attacks. Utah would love nothing more than to physically squeeze the life out of this game by attempting 10 passes in this game. Could <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/sawyer-robertson-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sawyer Robertson<\/a> play hero ball and cause potential issues to this Utah defense? Unlikely given the face the Baylor offensive line will struggle against Utah\u2019s front. This one could very well be the game where the hot seat knob gets ripped off (although, no telling who would be making those changes given that athletic director Mack Rhoads took a leave of absence on Thursday). However, their position is one of how will they respond. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2025\/11\/08\/icy-brick-wall-texas-tech-defense-delivers-knockout-blow-to-byu\/\" target=\"_self\">The Cougars where hit hard all game by Texas Tech last week<\/a>, suffering their first loss. The good news for Kalani Sitake\u2019s team? They are back in the friendly confines of Provo. BYU is also hosting a TCU team that has found more ways to lose games this year than win them. BYU has been nearly unbeatable, especially at night, at LaVell Edwards Stadium. BYU\u2019s defense will be overwhelming to TCU\u2019s offense.
