Which brings us to our week two results, where we went 8-4 against the spread, 12-3 on Moneyline selections, and only 4-8 when picking the totals. This week, that includes Baylor hosting Samford, Cincinnati welcoming Northwestern State, and Abilene Christian making the quick drive to Fort Worth to take on TCU. Once again, three Big 12 teams should handle their business in this final week before conference play begins.

Colorado At Houston (-5.5)

The first of two games on a Friday night for the Big 12, this matchup in Houston brings plenty of intrigue. Colorado is expected to start third-string quarterback Ryan Staub. Houston has looked to be a team with a functional offense in 2025. Willie Fritz seems to have this program quickly moving in the right direction. Expect the Cougars to handle the Buffaloes.

Moneyline: Houston ATS: Houston Total 44.5: Under

Kansas State (-1.5) At Arizona

This is Kansas State’s last chance to save its season. They have, for some unknown reason, not turned quarterback Avery Johnson’s legs loose this season. In fact, he only has 78 rushing yards in three games. Arizona still hasn’t shown something significant to think they are a vastly improved squad under Brent Brennan in year two. A reminder that this game is considered a non-conference game, as this was a scheduling arrangement agreed upon before the Wildcats joined the Big 12. In the Wildcats’ battle, it is the visitors from Kansas who emerge victorious. But if they stumble and lose again, it’s fair to start worrying if they can even go to a bowl game.

Moneyline: Kansas State ATS: Kansas State Total 54.5: Over

Oregon State At #21 Texas Tech (-24.5)

Joey McGuire and company are looking to stay hot at home. They hope what they have seen over the last two weeks continues against a weak Pac-12 program. Another stifling performance pushes the Red Raiders to 3-0 heading into conference play.

Moneyline: Texas Tech ATS: Texas Tech Total 61.5: Under

Pitt At West Virginia (+7.5)

Last year, the Backyard Brawl got super wacky in a high-scoring affair. West Virginia struggled mightily in their loss to Ohio. Pitt has yet to be challenged so far in the season. But they have had plenty of offense to show for their two wins. Rich Rodriguez knows better than most what this game means. This will be the last matchup between these rivals until 2029. This is the must-watch game of the Big 12 week three winners we could pick from. In a perfect buy-low spot for the Mountaineers, they spring the upset in front of the home crowd.

Moneyline: West Virginia ATS: West Virginia Total 58.5: Over

#14 Iowa State (-20.5) At Arkansas State

No Big 12 school has a better resume to date than what Matt Campbell’s team has. This week, they make the trek into the Sun Belt conference. Arkansas State is coming off a 56-14 thumping by Arkansas. This will be nothing more than a chance for Rocco Becht to pad his stats to build on a Heisman campaign.

Moneyline: Iowa State ATS: Iowa State Total 55.5: Over

#20 Utah (-23.5) At Wyoming

Kyle Whittingham’s team looks a lot more like the team many expected they would be when they joined the Big 12. They have a potential top 20 showdown on deck with the Red Raiders coming to Utah. They know Big Noon Kickoff is coming to campus. Is there any reason to think Wyoming will catch the Utes overlooking them? Wyoming did that to Texas Tech in 2023. But the Cowboys will not be able to wrangle up the Utes as Utah cruises in Laramie.

Moneyline: Utah ATS: Utah Total 48.5: Under

Texas State At Arizona State (-14.5)

All of a sudden, the sleepwalking performance in week one looks more concerning after the Sun Devils were toppled in Starkvegas. Sam Leavitt looked uncharacteristically inaccurate compared to his performance in 2024. Texas State gave Kenny Dillingham’s squad all it could handle last year. This is the spot where the defending Big 12 champs right the ship and come away with a decisive win. Otherwise, we will need to quickly revise the expectations for this team.

Moneyline: Arizona State ATS: Arizona State Total 58.5: Over

Main Photo: Ben Queen-Imagn Images

Just one more week of non-conference play is all that stands between all the Big 12 members vying for a shot at winning the title.
