Hence, the name for our article this week. \u00a0Did you save <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2025\/08\/22\/football-friday-tailgate-treats-kicking-off-the-2025-season\/\" target=\"_self\">last week&#8217;s collection of tasty tailgate treats<\/a>? This week, we have put together a carefully curated collection of tailgate-worthy snacks that will make you say, &#8220;Not so fast, my friend&#8230;What is this recipe?&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Football Friday Tailgate Treats: Not So Fast, My Friend<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"recipe-title\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/recipes\/zippy-praline-bacon\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zippy Praline Bacon<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Had to include a breakfast food since we have a HUGE first game of the day Saturday. This will be the perfect snack as you cheer for or against the next great Manning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pound bacon strips<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1-1\/2 teaspoons chili powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup finely chopped pecans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 425\u00b0. Arrange bacon in a single layer in 2 foil-lined 15x10x1-in. pans.<\/li>\n<li>Bake 10 minutes; carefully pour off drippings.<\/li>\n<li>Mix brown sugar and chili powder; sprinkle over bacon.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with pecans.<\/li>\n<li>Bake until bacon is crisp, 5-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"section__title-text h2\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.airfryeryum.com\/bacon-wrapped-oreos-recipe-in-air-fryer\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Oreos<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Bacon and Oreos what more does one need at a tailgate party?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oreos<\/li>\n<li>Thin sliced Bacon<\/li>\n<li>Cayenne pepper (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat your air fryer to 400\u00b0F<\/li>\n<li>Place wrapped cookies on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 mins or until the bacon is nice and crispy.<\/li>\n<li>Let it rest and cool before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block people-sc-block-heading mntl-sc-block-heading\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/food\/lance-bass-jalapeno-chicken-bombs-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"mntl-sc-block-heading__text\">Lance Bass\u2019s Jalape\u00f1o Chicken \u2018Bombs\u2019<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>This recipe was recommend by a friend who raved about them for a solid 30 minutes so they must be good!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 (5- to 6-oz.) chicken cutlets<\/li>\n<li>2 oz. cream cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup shredded cheddar cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. finely chopped jalape\u00f1o<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. barbecue sauce<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp. smoked paprika<\/li>\n<li>16 slices bacon<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd tbsp. brown sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Pound the chicken cutlets to \u00bc-in. thickness.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese and jalape\u00f1o. Spread a thin layer on each cutlet.<\/li>\n<li>Roll up the chicken and, if needed, secure with toothpicks.<\/li>\n<li>Combine barbecue sauce and paprika in a small bowl, and brush 1 tbsp. on each roll.<\/li>\n<li>Cut rolls into 8 pieces each.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap each piece with a slice of bacon, tucking in ends, so it covers the chicken completely.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with \u00bc tsp. brown sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat with remaining chicken pieces.<\/li>\n<li>Place the chicken on a rack-lined baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the pan and cook for another 10 minutes, then broil for 1 to 2 minutes more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"content-title\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/recipes\/touchdown-brat-sliders\/#RecipeCard\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Touchdown Brat Sliders<\/a><\/h3>\n<div>I am equal parts intrigued and scared of this recipe. It seems like it wouldn&#8217;t taste good, but it might also hit in a way that nothing else does. Let us know if you try it.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 thick-sliced bacon strips, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 pound uncooked bratwurst links, casings removed<\/li>\n<li>1 large onion, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 garlic cloves, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed<\/li>\n<li>1 cup dark beer or nonalcoholic beer<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon Dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon pepper<\/li>\n<li>16 dinner rolls, split and toasted<\/li>\n<li>2 cups cheddar and sour cream potato chips, crushed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.<\/li>\n<li>Remove to paper towels with a slotted spoon; drain, reserving drippings.<\/li>\n<li>Cook bratwurst and onion in drippings over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, breaking into crumbles.<\/li>\n<li>Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Drain well.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the cream cheese, beer, mustard and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in bacon.<\/li>\n<li>Spoon 1\/4 cup onto the bottom half of each roll; sprinkle with chips.<\/li>\n<li>Replace tops.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>On The Menu<\/h3>\n<div>Next week, we&#8217;ll share another set of recipes to pair with some great matchups.
