Which prospects do the Huskers have in their recruiting class? And who could they still add? Let’s break it down.

Wide Receivers

In his first year as Nebraska’s wide receiver coach, Daikiel Shorts isn’t short on receiving threats. He brought in Kentucky wide receiver Dane Key via the transfer portal, and Nyziah Hunter from Cal. Their experience should allow them to flourish in Dana Holgorsen’s offense. Jacory Barney Jr should also continue to have an impact. As a freshman, the 170-pounder tied the school record for receptions. In addition, he also had the most targets without a drop. The Cornhuskers also have some intriguing new weapons in their 2026 recruiting class.

Photo courtesy: Mike Watters-USA TODAY Sports

Four-star tight end Luke Sorenson tops this list. He picked Nebraska over Ole Miss and Penn State. This should raise Marcus Satterfield’s credibility as a recruiter. According to 247Sports, Sorenson is one of the “best blocking tight ends in the country.” But he only caught two touchdown passes last season. This is where Nalin Scott will help. His flip from Arizona State is a significant win for Nebraska on the recruiting trail. Plus, the Cornhuskers get another wideout to pair with South Dakota’s Dveyoun Bonnell-Witte. Most importantly, he brings production to the table. In his junior season, the 200-pound wideout had 29 catches for 541 yards. Can he carry that momentum into his senior season?

BREAKING: Class of 2026 WR Nalin Scott has Flipped his Commitment from Arizona State to Nebraska, he tells me for @on3recruits

The 6’2 205 WR from Marietta, GA had been Committed to the Sun Devils since April

“AGTG!! The 6′-1″, 185-pounder marks the first recruit that Nebraska defensive backs coach Addison Williams has brought into Lincoln. However, Odem’s pledge is also significant because of the caliber of schools that Nebraska beat out. Before he chose the Big Red, the Florida native had offers from both Penn State and Ohio State. This marks an extremely impressive win for Williams. Last season, Penn State lost narrowly to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. And after ending the season with a 14-2 record, Ohio State went on to capture the National Championship over the Fighting Irish. Can the Huskers keep his signature until next February? The program will have to continue to ward off Big Ten powers and other SEC players in order to keep his commitment.

Offensive Line

The Huskers have depth on the offensive line in 2025. Donovan Raiola used the transfer portal to bring in former Notre Dame right guard Rocco Spindler. The Cornhuskers also got better at the left tackle position with Elijah Pritchett on the roster. This allows Hunter Lutovsky and Justin Evans-Jenkins to fill out the other positions on the depth chart. Turner Corcoran should also get playing time as well right tackle. However, things get interesting for Raiola’s position in 2026. Next year, Hayden Ainsworth and Rex Waterman will head to Lincoln. They should be important pieces for the future of the Cornhuskers’ offensive line. Both players possess the size to play in the Big Ten. In addition, they know how to use their physicality to their advantage in order to attack defensive linemen.

The Defensive Line

Terry Bradden hasn’t brought in a defensive lineman into Nebraska’s 2026 recruiting class. But the former Chiefs staffer has a short list of targets. The Huskers would like to add four-star defensive lineman Valdin Sone to their ranks. The Sweden native is a top-25 player at the defensive line position. Sone is also the 183rd-ranked prospect in the whole cycle. His 6-foot-3, 316-pound frame is also something that Bradden can develop. He’s done it before with Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones. Kamron Wilson is another prospect to keep an eye on. The four-star edge rusher is currently committed to the Syracuse Orange, but Florida State has also inserted itself into his recruitment. The Seminoles’ defensive coordinator, Tony White, decided to leave Lincoln with Terrance Knighton last season. Will Matt Rhule win the battle over his former staffers? Or will Wilson decide to stick with Fran Brown?

Read more about the current crop of the Cornhuskers’ defensive linemen in Spring Updates: Nebraska’s Defensive Line

Main Image: Dylan Widger-Imagn Images

Nebraska’s coaching staff keeps stacking up wins on the recruiting trail.
