Alabama\u2019s stars were shut out of any first-team honors when the certified outlets announced their teams over the last week. That also means none of them made the NCAA Consensus All-American team. It\u2019s the first time since 2019 that no Alabama player has made it. Since 2007, it\u2019s only the fourth time they have been shut out from that distinction. While disappointing, it\u2019s not surprising. Alabama\u2019s season didn\u2019t go as planned to say the least.<\/a> They were the final team left out of the college football playoff and instead will play in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan on New Year’s Eve. Even though Alabama had no first-team or consensus All-Americans, they still had deserving players receive second-team honors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alabama Stars Shut Out of First Team Honors<\/h2>\n

Tyler Booker<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Booker<\/a> is the most decorated player out of Alabama\u2019s All-Americans this year. The elite left guard made the Associated Press first-team All-SEC team last year. He was on multiple preseason All-American teams including the first team for Walter Camp and the second team for the Associated Press. Booker earned second-team All-American honors from the Walter Camp Foundation, the FWAA, The Sporting News, the AFCA, and the Associated Press. He is the only Crimson Tide player to earn honors from all five of those outlets. The junior from New Haven, Connecticut was a team captain and a stalwart for the offensive line, playing every game in his three seasons in Tuscaloosa. Initially a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports<\/em>, he\u2019s become one of the best interior linemen in the country. If he decides to go pro, he should be one of the top guards taken in the NFL draft.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Malachi Moore<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Moore<\/a> received the second most All-American honors for Alabama. Named a preseason All-American by Sporting News, he lived up to the hype earning second-team status according to the AFCA, the Sporting News, and the Associated Press. The super senior from Trussville, Alabama was a team captain and a center-piece at safety for a good Alabama defense. Moore filled up the stat sheet this season with 70 total tackles, three for a loss, a sack, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and eight passes defended.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parker Brailsford<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The middle of the offensive line was a strength for Bama with Booker at left guard and Brailsford<\/a> at center. That was confirmed by the FWAA who gave Brailsford second-team All-American honors. Brailsford was highly regarded coming into the season making multiple preseason first-team All-American teams. The redshirt sophomore from Arizona came over with coach Kalen DeBoer after spending the last two seasons in Washington together. Brailsford started all 12 games for the Crimson Tide and has already announced he will be returning to Tuscaloosa next season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jihaad Campbell<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Campbell<\/a> was the other second team member named by the FWAA. The junior linebacker from New Jersey was the best player on the Alabama defense in 2024. He led the team with 106 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and five sacks. He also added two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, two passes defended, and an interception. Campbell was a semifinalist for the Butkus Award, given to the best linebacker in the country. If he decides to go pro, he will be one of the top off-ball linebackers in the NFL draft.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan Williams<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Williams<\/a> was named a second-team All-American by the AFCA. The freshman was the eighth-best recruit in the country in 2024, according to 247Sports<\/em>. The electric receiver burst onto the scene and immediately became one of the best weapons in the country. He started fast with six touchdowns in his first five games but then tapered off as the season went on. He still led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns finishing with 45 catches for 857 yards and eight scores.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
