Saunders hails from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Rated as the 42nd-best quarterback in the nation<\/a> and 16th-best player in the Keystone State Sanders chose Kentucky back in August of 2023.<\/p>\n Saunders held offers from a who’s who of college football including Colorado, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Texas A&M. However he’s remained committed to the Cats. Earlier this season he set the Pennsylvania high school record with his 177th touchdown pass.<\/p>\n So far in 2024, he\u2019s thrown for over 3,200 yards with 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions. His Bishop McDevitt squad knocked off Pine-Richland 28-14 last week and will play for the Class 5A state title this weekend against Roman Catholic.
