But thanks to the early signing period, many of the nation\u2019s top players have already signed, if not enrolled. That included a large number of players in Washington\u2019s 2024 recruiting class. With the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2024\/01\/16\/jedd-fisch-introduced-as-washington-head-coach\/\" target=\"_self\">coaching change<\/a> in January, a handful of these players either decommitted or were granted releases from their national letters of intent (NLI\u2019s). With all the recent turnover on this roster, let\u2019s take a look at what Washington\u2019s 2024 recruiting class looks like with less than a week until National Signing Day.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Washington\u2019s Current Eary Enrollees<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five players in Washington\u2019s 2024 recruiting class have already enrolled at the university and have begun Winter workouts with the team. <strong>Demond Williams Jr.<\/strong> had enrolled at Arizona in January, but transferred to Washington a few weeks ago. The four-star quarterback threw 93 touchdowns in high school and rushed for an additional 42. Williams was also one of 20 elite 11 finalists last Summer. <strong>Dermaricus Davis<\/strong> is another early enrollee at the quarterback position. Davis entered the transfer portal shortly after Williams Jr. transferred in, but recommitted a few days later. The four-star quarterback is the second-highest rated Washington recruit in the program\u2019s 2024 class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Peyton Waters<\/strong> is Washington\u2019s highest-rated recruit in this cycle. He\u2019s a four-star defensive back and was one of the handful of 2024 early enrollees that entered the transfer portal in January. Waters had offers from USC, UCLA, and Utah, among others, but decided to stay in Seattle. <strong>Khmori House<\/strong> is a three-star and Washington\u2019s highest-rated linebacker recruit in this class. He also entered the transfer portal in January, but withdrew this past week to remain at Washington.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Huskies gained another early enrollee from Arizona in running back <strong>Adam Mohammed<\/strong>. The Arizona native had a three-star rating during his recruitment and enrolled early at Arizona. He was in the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/collegefootball\/2024\/01\/22\/washington-lands-first-wave-of-transfer-portal-players\/\" target=\"_self\">first wave of transfers to Washington<\/a> in January and enrolled on campus. Mohammed scored 113 touchdowns in high school, which was just one shy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/bijan-robinson-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bijan Robinson<\/a>\u2019s record in the state of Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Washington\u2019s Hard Commits<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are nine hard commits to Washington who have already signed as of the first of February. Two of whom were commitment flips from Arizona that both happened within the last three days. <strong>Rahim Wright<\/strong> is a defensive back who was recruited by <strong>John Richardson<\/strong> to Arizona. Richardson is now the secondary coach at Washington, and Wright has committed to the Huskies. He was joined by <strong>Justin Hylkema<\/strong>, a 6\u2019-8\u201d and 315 pound three-star offensive lineman. <strong>Brennan Carroll<\/strong> was his main recruiter to Arizona, and Hylkema has now flipped his commitment to Washington. Carroll is Washington\u2019s new offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The current class also includes three pass-catchers. <strong>Justice Williams<\/strong> is the third-highest rated player in Washington\u2019s 2024 recruiting class as a four-star wide receiver. At 6\u2019-4\u201d and 195 pounds, he has a true \u201cX\u201d receiver frame. <strong>Jason Robinson<\/strong> is a three-star at 5\u2019-10\u201d and is a prototypical slot receiver with pure route running ability. Washington also holds a signing from <strong>Decker DeGraaf<\/strong> at tight end. The three-star visited schools in the Big Ten and SEC before signing with the Huskies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Paul Mencke Jr.<\/strong> is a three-star safety who has signed to play with Washington. He played all three phases of the game in high school and is the fifth-highest rated recruit in Washington\u2019s class. <strong>Elias Johnson<\/strong> also signed with the Huskies at cornerback. The three-star recruit is a Portland, Oregon native and had interest from all the pacific northwest schools. On the defensive line, <strong>Omar Khan<\/strong> has a three-star rating. Khan is a Texas native and at 6\u2019-2\u201d and 270 pounds, he has the frame of a prototypical interior defensive lineman. The Huskies have another offensive tackle in their class and it\u2019s <strong>Davit Boyajyan<\/strong>, a California native. He\u2019s a three-star and stands at 6\u2019-5\u201d and 300 pounds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Washington\u2019s 2024 Recruiting Class<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five players are enrolled on campus; nine more have signed letters of intent to play for <strong>Jedd Fisch<\/strong> and the Huskies in 2024. The recruiting class also includes three decommits who have not yet announced their plans. It\u2019s still possible they re-commit to Washington, and we\u2019ll be following their decisions in the near future. Fisch has done an excellent job holding this class together despite all the changes within the program.
