It just means more. It’s more than a mantra; it’s a way of life in the SEC. The mantra gets personified this weekend on the field. The SEC has three top-flight games in each of the three major TV windows. Things kick off in Oxford as the Rebels host the Aggies to try to climb up the College Football Playoff rankings<\/a> and keep its hopes alive for a possible SEC West Championship. Georgia and Missouri have the first game in the last CBS doubleheader. Eli Drinkwitz<\/strong> and Missouri will look to finish the job this season after nearly knocking off Georgia a year ago. In the nightcap, Brent<\/strong> and Gary<\/strong> head to Tuscaloosa as the Tide welcome the Tigers. Nick Saban<\/strong> looks to return the favor after Brian Kelly<\/strong> knocked him off last year in the overtime thriller. Let’s dig into your 10 SEC Preview.<\/p>\n

SEC Preview: Second-Screen Slate<\/h3>\n

These games are second-screen viewing. Don’t be mad, SEC fans; in the words of Al Davis<\/strong>, “Just win, baby!” Let’s have some fun in six words or less.<\/p>\n

No. 17 Tennessee vs. UConn<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can’t spell Citrus without UT.<\/p>\n

Arkansas vs. Florida<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pittman’s last stand? Napier hopes so.<\/p>\n

SEC Preview: Main-Screen Slate<\/h3>\n

Texas A&M<\/a> vs. No. 10 Ole Miss<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

With all the praise that Lane Kiffin<\/strong> gives to Alabama and Saban, he provides as much shade to Jimbo Fisher<\/strong> and Texas A&M. In his weekly press conference, Kiffin started praising the Aggies’ talent and skill on both sides of the ball. He didn’t pass up an opportunity, though, to take a shot at Fisher. “Jimbo said their goal is to be bowl-eligible, so if we can get in the way of that, that would be good for us, too.” The Rebels are one of the hottest teams in the country and have shown growth and maturing in Kiffin’s fourth year in Oxford. Ole Miss is 7-1 and ranked 10th in the first College Football Playoff ranking. The Aggies, on the other hand, are 5-3 and headed toward mediocrity again. Too bad this one isn’t Saturday night; there’ll be plenty of fireworks.<\/p>\n

Prediction:\u00a0<\/strong>Ole Miss 24, Texas A&M 17<\/p>\n

\u00a0No. 12 Missouri vs. No. 2 Georgia<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Feast or play with your food. The two-time defending national champion Bulldogs checked in at #2 in the initial College Football Rankings. A weak schedule and some slow starts may have clouded the committee’s judgment. November is a big month for Georgia to cement their spot atop the SEC East and the rankings. They’ll play #12 Missouri, #10 Ole Miss, and #17 Tennessee in successive weeks. Slows starts and complacency could spell a loss and the possibility of Georgia and the SEC being left on the outside looking in come the playoffs. Missouri has been impressive in 2023.\u00a0<\/span>Brady Cook\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>has two lethal threats in receivers\u00a0<\/span>Luther Burden III<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Theo Wease Jr<\/span><\/strong>. The Tigers are not a team Georgia wants to sleep on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prediction:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Georgia 42, Missouri 24<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0No. 14 LSU<\/a> vs. No. 8 Alabama<\/a><\/h3>\n

Can you name the last quarterback to beat Nick Saban in back-to-back seasons? Sorry, SEC fans, it would be Purdue’s Drew Brees<\/strong><\/a> who did in 1998 and 1999. LSU will test Alabama’s offense and defense this weekend. The Tigers have a top-rated offense that has racked up yards and points in bunches this season. While Alabama, in recent years, could win shootouts in the past. This year’s Tide team is more defense-focused. An inconsistent running game paired with Jalen Milroe’s<\/strong> limited passing abilities will test the Tide’s defense to corral the Tigers.<\/p>\n
