I\u2019m sure the American Athletic Conference\u2019s Tulsa Golden Hurricane (9-3) and the Mid-American Conference\u2019s Central Michigan Chippewas (6-6) are pumped for some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sportsbusinessdaily.com\/Special-Content\/2016\/12\/Bowl-gifts.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cool gifts<\/a> and a tropical vacation in December. (Photo by Mike Ehrmann\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>When<\/em>: Monday, December 19<sup>th<\/sup>, 2:30pm ET on ESPN.<\/p>\n<p><em>Where<\/em>: In case you didn\u2019t know, the Miami Beach Bowl isn\u2019t <em>actually<\/em> played on Miami Beach. Instead, the game is hosted at Marlins Park in downtown Miami, a six-mile, forty-minute drive from Miami Beach. While that may seem like a bit of a negative, let\u2019s remember that fans and alumni from both schools could use the trip to thaw out after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/capital-weather-gang\/wp\/2016\/12\/09\/the-polar-vortex-is-coming-heres-what-that-means-and-how-cold-it-could-get\/?utm_term=.5b3d69d00654\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">brutal polar vortex<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to the game are still available for $50 a pop. Just remember, those beach shots ESPN shows going in and out of commercial are not\u00a0really close to the actual game.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What to Watch For<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Golden Hurricane is an 11.5-point favorite in this game for good reason. Their three losses this year have come at the hands of Ohio State (48-3), Houston (38-31), and Navy (42-40), three bowl teams. (Photo by Ken Murray\/ICON Sportswire)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tulsa has an array of playmakers, featuring 3,000-yard passer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/dane-evans-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dane Evans<\/strong><\/a>, 1,000-yard rushers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/james-flanders-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>James Flanders<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/dangelo-brewer-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>D\u2019Angelo Brewer<\/strong><\/a>, and 1,000-yard receiver <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/keevan-lucas-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Keevan Lucas<\/strong><\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/joshua-atkinson-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Josh Atkinson<\/strong><\/a> also sits at 927 yards receiving on the year, and if he gets to 1,000 then Tulsa will become the first team in FBS history to feature a 3,000-yard passes, two 1,000-yard rushers, and two 1,000-yard receivers. (Photo by Chet Strange\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Meanwhile, Central Michigan counters with their own 3,000-yard passer\/1,000-yard receiver combo in the form of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/cooper-rush-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Cooper Rush<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/corey-willis-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Corey Willis<\/strong><\/a>. Head coach <strong>John Bonamego<\/strong> will need a big performance from All-Mac Linebacker <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/malik-fountain-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Malik Fountain<\/strong><\/a> &#8211;or perhaps some help from poor field conditions on a converted baseball field &#8212; to slow down the Golden Hurricane\u2019s ground game if he hopes to improve the Chippewa\u2019s 3-6 all-time bowl record.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wrap Up<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is the ONLY college football game of the day and it will be high scoring \u2013 the Vegas total sits at 69.5 &#8212; enough to keep you entertained as you struggle through the end of your workday Monday. You\u2019ll be coming off the first full weekend of college bowl games and this is the perfect game to ease you into your week.<\/p>\n<p>However, don&#8217;t expect it to be that close. Tulsa&#8217;s offense shouldn&#8217;t have any problems in this game and the Chippewa&#8217;s would need a lot of help to keep this one close.
