We are one week away from the start of Championship November in college football. That also means things are heating up in the Heisman rankings<\/a>. There is still an ebb and flow unlike what we normally see at this point in the season. This is evidenced by three first-time members in this week’s poll. We’ll dive into that and more as we break down the contenders in our 2022 Week Eight Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

We have three quarterbacks who have separated themselves from the pack in our 2022 week eight Heisman rankings. Who was able to solidify that top spot this week? With only a few games remaining, who has the opportunity to have that elusive Heisman moment? With that, let’s take a look as we unveil our 2022 Week Eight Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Stroud continues to keep up his narrow lead in this week’s Heisman rankings. With the ground game stifled, Stroud overcame a slow start to throw for 288 yards and four touchdowns. Despite their offensive struggles, Iowa has an outstanding defense so the 54 points put up are extremely impressive. The Buckeyes travel to Happy Valley this weekend in what should be their toughest game remaining on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After his incredible performance against Alabama, Hooker had an easy day against Tennessee Martin. However, he still threw for 276 yards and three scores in the game. The next two games for Hooker will likely tell the story as to whether he can remain in a toe to toe battle with Stroud. The Vols host a pesky Kentucky team this week in a classic look-ahead game to Georgia in two weeks.<\/div>\n

Even though the game was dominated by Alabama, it was just an average performance for Young against Mississippi State on Saturday. He threw for 249 yards and a pair of scores but had less than 300 yards of total offense. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is in a position for some style points heading into the last part of the regular season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corum enjoyed the week off after his 166-yard and a two-touchdown game against Penn State on October 15th. The Wolverines return to action against the struggling Spartans on Saturday. Although it may be true that Corum has the odds stacked against him as a running back with games against Illinois and Ohio State remaining, he will have a big stage.<\/p>\n

Anderson has jumped back into our top five after flip-flopping for the majority of the season. Much like his partner, he needs to gain some style points. Having the weekend off does him no favors. However, he will have a high-profile matchup against LSU in the first week of November. Even though his numbers are down relatively speaking, he’s the kind of talent that could break out at any moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
