USF\u2019s Top Five Sleepers 2022<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As the season continues to approach the Bulls are working harder and harder every day to be prepared for their week one matchup. Despite having some talented transfers come in along with returning stars USF will need other players to step up. USF’s top five sleepers in 2022 will be a huge part of the team’s success. With game one of the new season being a little over a month away, new faces are starting to shine for the Bulls which should be of big help to the already talented USF squad.<\/p>\n

#5 Jason Vaughn <\/strong><\/h3>\n

To start at number five, we have Jason Vaughn<\/strong>. Vaughn standing at 6\u20195 and weighing in at 252 should be a favorite at the defensive end position. With his quickness and toughness, he\u2019ll definitely play a bigger role this year for USF. Despite struggles in earlier years for the Bulls, Vaughn will be looking for a big rebound.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the past years, Jason Vaughn had an impressive spring game with the Bulls as well, tallying four total solo tackles as well as one sack. The big man at the end position is very close to unlocking his true potential. Jason Vaughn will be a player to flag each game considering how big of an impact he could make.<\/p>\n

#4 Tramel Logan <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Yet another player for the Bulls who have flown under the radar is Tramel Logan<\/strong>. Logan who stands at 6\u20192 and weighs in at 232 will also be a big part of the defensive line this year. Just like Vaughn, Logan also plays defensive end making the Bulls pretty lethal at the end position. Furthermore, he saw playing time in all 12 games last year for the Bulls including one start against ECU.<\/p>\n

Tramel Logan will be another force for USF on the defensive side of the ball. Even though he\u2019s not the biggest defensive end you\u2019ll see, his elusiveness is what makes him stand out. His ability to find holes in the offensive line and expose them proves why he\u2019s not somebody you should take your eye off of. With his skill level combined with the already improved defensive line, the Bulls could be a huge force when it comes to pressuring the QB.<\/p>\n

#3 Brian Norris <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Coming in at number three we have Brian Norris<\/strong>. Norris stands at 6\u20192 and weighs in at 225 will be a ginormous assistant to Antonio Grier<\/strong> who for the past couple of seasons has carried the load. Even though Norris didn\u2019t play that much in the past couple of seasons his experience should propel him to more playing time this year if he can replicate what he did in the spring game.<\/p>\n

Regardless of Norris not seeing the field much, Norris made his presence known in the White vs Green spring game. This year as he totaled nine tackles with seven of them being solo. Furthermore, Norris will look to play more on the defensive side of the ball instead of on special teams. Despite the amount of talent USF holds at the linebacker position expect to see Norris play a good role this year.<\/p>\n

#2 Gunnar Greenwald<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A big star out of high school who hasn\u2019t gotten much recognition yet is Gunnar Greenwald<\/strong>. Greenwald at the tight end position stands at 6\u20194 and weighs in at 238. The sophomore saw action in 11 of out the 12 games last year, but most of it was on special teams. Greenwald\u2019s height and mobility at 6\u20194 make him stand out a lot more than most tight ends. Greenwald has a good catching ability and has shown he can make plays.<\/p>\n

In this year\u2019s spring game Greenwald was on the top of the receiving yards list for team White. Regardless, Greenwald looks like he makes for a strong candidate for the number one tight end spot. USF\u2019s receiving core has already shown to be very solid, but the addition of a big man who can fall out in the flat to catch passes would make the offense even better.<\/p>\n

#1 Jimmy Horn Jr. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

At the number one spot, we have Jimmy Horn Jr.<\/strong>\u00a0Horn\u00a0stands at 5\u20199 and weighs in at 170<\/a>. Even though he seems small for a wide receiver, don’t be deceived by his height. Horn jr. proved in his freshman season with the Bulls why he deserves a lot more recognition. He was one of the top 3 receivers on the team last year but has been overshadowed by Xavier Weaver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Horn is an extremely fast guy which makes him so dangerous<\/a> out in open space. Horn Jr. had a huge touchdown grab in last year\u2019s contest against Cincinnati that went for 80 yards. When this guy gets out in open space, he\u2019s as explosive as any wide receiver in the country. Along with his speed, Horn Jr. is also good at making people miss in the open field. If the QB has time to throw Jimmy Horn Jr. will always be one of the first guys open.<\/p>\n

A Big Impact <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even though USF has proven to be a solid team on all sides of the Ball, these sleeper guys will be of help to ensure more wins. USF’s sleepers are what will help this team prevail in some tight games. As the season goes on the Bulls will continue to improve and make their way towards a winning record.<\/p>\n
